Cozy 2 bedroom cabin on the water - great location, must see!!

Enjoy a quiet, relaxing week in the north woods of Hayward, WI! Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin sleeps six comfortably (queen, 2 single beds and a futon). Cabin is two levels and 1500 square ft. The cabin is located on the Namekagon River with direct access to Hayward Lake and the public boat launch just a few hundred feet away. You really get the best of both worlds here as the cabin is tucked away in a private, wooded area but is also walking distance to downtown Hayward and other attractions!!

Please note that the fireplace is not available for use but there is a dedicated fire area outside between the cabin and the water.

We enjoyed our second stay at this cabin. It's close to town and was very cozy and welcoming. Because of the snowstorm, I especially loved being downstairs on the soft couch with a warm blanket while watching TV. We will definitely be back again.

The cabin had everything we needed! The location was very close to downtown Hayward, which we loved. Communication with owner was excellent. The cabin is on a waterfront, but the was a busy road you could see and hear from the property, which is why I have 4 stars in waterfront property.

The hot tub was great but because of our age not all of us used it. Difficult for us to get in and out. It was very nice tub. The cabin was well supplied with everything you needed for a great stay. We couldn't believe all the stuff they supplied. We would book that cabin again anytime. It was perfect

Really great little cabin in northern WI! Our group consisted of 2 adults and one 5 year old child and we fit very comfortably in this space. The private campfire pit was lovely, and it was very convenient to be so close to the water. We did lots of paddle boarding! Of note, this cabin has a bit of a remote feel because of the nature trees on the property and also due to how the property is set up, but it is right next to town so there is quite a bit of traffic noise during the week days. Nothing that bothered us, but just something to be aware of. We really enjoyed our time here though and would definitely stay again!

The cabin was wonderful! It looks exactly like what is shown in the pics. There was more than enough room for 4 adults. The kitchen was great! Had coffee - both regular and decaf, coffee creamer, some spices, etc. More than enough pots and pans for cooking. The bathrooms included shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There was a wall full of games, puzzles and books. Perfect for kids! There is a gate that closes off the top of the stairs to keep the little ones safe. The hosts, Mike and Nola, were very nice and checked in via VRBO text to see if we needed anything. Check in was a breeze. The cabin is tucked in some trees so you feel like you’re out in the woods even though you are right in Hayward. Lovely spot. Would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable Cabin

We greatly enjoyed our stay as a family. It was close to everything, on the water of Lake Hayward, as well as a 15 minute drive to many lakes to choose from for fishing & lake fun! The cabin was clean & comfortable for our family! We made lots of great memories!

A hidden gem

It was a taste of cabin living right on the edge of town. It was pretty much within walking distance of anything you needed or even to get to downtown. The cabin was very nice and clean and pretty much has everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Perfect getaway

We spent 3 days here and really enjoyed it. The place was perfectly stocked and very clean. It was my husband, his sister and I and we are 76, 77 and 65. We loved the deck and had no bugs, but did have a visitor!

20th wedding anniversary

This property was perfect! It was a 5 day rental to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and to just get away for some relaxation with a bit of fishing tossed in.Our cabin was just as it appeared in the VRBO ad. Very clean and well appointed.We enjoyed being very close to the shopping and eating establishments. Communication with the hosts easy and timely.We would LOVE to come back and maybe choose one of the other cabins on this unique little private wooded area.Please consider "Mallards Landing" for a cool rental experience. Overall this was a fantastic stay. Location was great, right on the water and close to down town. It was close to everything but yet was still quiet as if you were on the edge of town. Inside the cabin, everything is thought of. Safety is always first for familes, this cabin has 2 levels, so naturally with littles (we did not have this trip) stairs are a safety concern, this cabin includes a mesh retractable gate- see photos. In the kitchen, every cupboard is labeled with contents, there is a spice cupboard, everything needed for essentials for cooking / baking. The living room / bedrooms have more than enough blankets, and extra pillows if needed- some soft, some firm. The bathroom has shampoo /conditioner/body wash located in the shower. There are also extra towels if needed for a longer stay. First aid kit and hair dryer are also there if needed.The LL bathroom has the jetted tub, that was a hot topic for our stay.We all enjoyed it, it made us want to instal one in our home. I am usually skeptical on how clean they are, but I assure you, I had no concerns of cleanliness in the tub, or any part of the cabin.To sum it up, 10/10 recommend this cabin, everything is very well thought of. Communication is great with the hosts.

Family Weekend Trip

This is by far one of the best trips we have taken and that is because of how awesome this place was. It was so clean and so accomodating for the 1 year we bought - her first vacation! The location is in walkable distance from the shops. We will for sure be back!!

Wonderful stay right in Hayward

This location couldn’t have been more convenient—just steps away from a fantastic restaurant and a grocery store right down the street. It was the perfect spot for a trip with my mother to visit family. When other relatives, including my grandmother and uncle, came by to see the place, they were genuinely impressed with the beautiful interior. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable stay.

Cozy Cabin

This place was awesome. Real log cabin on a lake! We enjoyed the community also. Good restaurants grocery stores and shopping too. I found little shops with wonderful prices and so much to choose from. The lake is amazing and so close to the cabin. I had coffee on the deck facing the lake. What a great way to start your day!
