  • Beautifully remodeled dream home on Round Lake in Hayward, WI! The spacious lake home enjoys a magnificent southern vista overlooking Schoolhouse Bay on 3,000 acre Round Lake. Vacationers love this clear water lake in Northern Wisconsin for its excellent boating and fishing.

    The waterfront home has 3 bedrooms and a bunk room, 3 full baths and sits on 2+ acres with 200 feet of lakeshore. A short paddle takes you to a public island in the lake that has a sand bar with the best swimming on the lake! Lounge and take in the lake view from the lakeside deck, patio and screened porch.

    Recent updates include a remodeled great room featuring wood burning fireplace in the living room, open fully-equipped kitchen with new appliances and spacious bath with large glass walk-in shower. The main floor has 2 bedrooms including large master suite with desk overlooking the lake and jetted tub and shower in the bath.

    The walkout lower level includes a spacious family room with bunk beds, kitchenette, large bath and another lakeside bedroom.

    This roomy vacation rental offers two levels of living spaces, multiple spots to relax outdoors and gentle slope to the lake with easy dock access to Round Lake and all it offers. The rental comes 2 kayaks so you can really enjoy a lake vacation!

    Other amenities include Wi-Fi internet, smart TVs, dishwashers and spacious, newly remodeled kitchens and bathrooms, fireplace and more!

Spruce Haven

Good location on the lake. Clean house with lots of space for people to sleep. The generator was wonderful for when the electricity went out during a storm.

Fantastic Family Experience!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was even better than the pictures and description! There was plenty of space for play and privacy. The island was our favorite part! It’s hard to have a next favorite because everything was great- bathrooms and kitchen were super clean and well stocked, ready to use. There is a yard big enough in front for frisbee or catch, tables to eat, play games, etc, lots of outdoor seating, cozy fire pit, and covered porch or screen room to enjoy rain and lightning storms. We had married kids and kids home from college and it was a perfect destination for all of us!*A few extra blankets would have been nice for tv time and those that need a little extra heat at night.

Wonderful time

Great lakeside cabin with tons of space. We were 2 families with kids ranging in ages from 7 to 13. The floorplan allowed for everyone to spread out nicely. The views were great. Grilling on the deck was fun. Although we didn't use them, the cabin has some kayaks available for use which is nice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed in cabin in June. Cabin is very nice. Inside up to date. Basement nice too. The issue is the outside.If you have issues with stairs this might not be the cabin for you.The first step going into cabin really high. The stairs going down to pontoon boat not very good.Part of the stairs are railroad ties. The flat area on stairs are rock. The step up or down with stairs can be tough. If you don't have issues with stairs this is good place to stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A perfect location on Round Lake located on Schoolhouse Bay. The area feels remote compared to other areas on the lake. Good fishing, near great spots for swimming, easy canoeing & kayaking here too. Watch the eagles & blue herons fishing, listen to the bull frogs & watch loons glide by.This cabin feels like a welcoming home inside. All the furniture is comfortable & well maintained. The bathrooms are beautifully updated. The main bedroom suite is gigantic & luxurious. The kitchen has everything you need for meal prep. Downstairs you’ll find a relaxing setting, a small kitchen & more sleeping spots.With a pontoon boat, canoe, & kayaks included in the rental, you’ll be set for lake life.Relatively close to town means it’s easy to drive in & check out all Hayward has to offer. Or, right nearby you can pontoon to Powells or The Dock for a good meal. Hop in the car & you’re minutes away from other good drinking & eating venues.The Property Mgmt team is a delight. Responsive if you have any questions. We had no problems, but I’m sure they would have been on it, if we had. Highly recommend Spruce Haven!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this property and hope to book it again for next year. We have utilized a number of VRBOs and this one fit our growing family perfectly. We had 7 adults and 3 children (essentially four families). The property was very clean! Kitchen was new w/excellent appliances, very good pots and pans, plenty of dishes and silverware. The parents w/two kids (4 and 5) used the suite upstairs and the parents with the new baby stayed in the lower level with us grandparents taking the larger bedroom down there too. All the showers were super: walk-in, tiled and the lighting was great. Good internet and a nice big TV in living room and several in other places. Plenty of room to play cards and eat: there is actually two tables with chairs! Also, loved the tall sofa table w/barstools behind the couch to watch TV or in some cases for working on the computer. The PAVED driveway was the best one we ever had at a lake VRBO with a place to park the boat trailer. Also, some cabins don't accommodate trash well and this one had its own little building in which the door shut tightly so the bears couldn't get in. Washer and dryer were so nice to have and very large capacity. The extra kitchen in the basement was good for storing our extra things. We utilized the screened in porch for storing coolers, etc. and used the deck every day for hanging out. Even used the grill for steaks. Now, Round Lake itself is GREAT, docks were very nice and it was easy to get out of the Schoolhouse Bay. We went on our boat to the Dock Bar and Grill for appetizers first day, and then ordered fantastic pizza and broasted chicken there for pickup last night in town. Went to Powell's on our boat as well for a great Walleye dinner which they served all day. We fished and waterskied; just cruised around. The home is just off Hwy 77, a short drive to Hayward (Walmart, etc.) and the casino, as well as golf courses. The only thing for older adults to consider is that there are a lot of steps down to the dock.

The cabin was clean and roomy and had all the amenities needed. Lots of large windows for wonderful views of the lake. Having the pontoon available is a huge thing for our family and the paddle boards and kayaks were a fun plus that we enjoyed. The location is great; private and not too far from town and a local pub and a restaurant up the road. The screened porch does need some TLC and you do need to be careful on the steps to the lake. Overall, a great stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was great very clean and had everything you could possibly need. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you may need. Convenient location. The only downfall was that if you have someone like we did that can't do steps very well. There wasn't access to get to the boat. The bank and steps were to steep, you would need to go to the nearest boat landing for them. We didn't realize this, the pictures didn't look as steep as it was. We all had a wonderful time.
