Cassidy's Haus is splendid! It's beautifully decorated and has lots of plants and windows. It's very modern, and when you rent a place in the woods, often they're filled with grandma's old furniture. Not the case here. Very clean. Spectacular view and very, very peaceful. I feel connected to her a little because I loved her decor and we have similar interests like mushrooms, rocks, and enjoying the outdoors. Our adult children who came with enjoyed the canoe and that hammock and patio swing as well as the firepit. We also got meats from a local butcher and grilled at her place. It's not big enough for more than 4 people, but for that 4 of us, it was a delight!

Lovely Adirondack chairs and lots of owner provided wood to have a fire.

Owner provides life jackets, paddles, paddle boards, and has a full dining table and couch on the outdoor patio under an overhang.

Fantastic and Private

We had an amazing time, Home was perfectly set up, Not a thing to worry about. Amazing views, and everthing you needed from information about the property to the Stand up paddle boards and the canoe. Could not have asked for a better place to stay in Hayward

Great getaway spot

Very nice

We had a great time. The cabin is so nice and in a great location. Ample firewood provided and the kitchen has everything you need. The king bed was super comfy. We had a rainy day and the covered deck was awesome, we were still able to be outside and stay dry. We saw numerous deer and even heard some loons. Close to downtown Hayward and a short drive to the casino. We would love to stay again.

Amazing Lake House

The Hayward Haus was the perfect retreat. The views are beautiful, the indoor and outdoor spaces are comfortable and clean, and it was a quiet and peaceful place with plenty of outdoor activities to do nearby. We needed more time!

Amazing Summer Wisconsin Getaway!

We stayed 7 days / 6 nights at this amazing home in early July – and we wished we could have stayed a few more weeks, it was so awesome! At other vacation homes we’ve rented, the cutlery and pans were subpar. Not with this home! I love to cook and this was an extremely well-appointed kitchen. The dishes, silverware, kitchen tools, etc. were complete. The bathroom was lovely with the defogger / lit mirror. All of the wood in the home is gorgeous. The dining room table is a showstopper! As is the kitchen island and the gorgeous mirror in the living room with the custom wood frame. All of the furniture and the king-sized bed were exceptional. The highlight of the home was the views – from the home and from the covered deck. With a hammock chair and hammock on the deck, along with comfy lounge furniture and table and chairs, it was one of our favorite spots to watch the eagles, loons, ducks, geese, deer and chipmucks. The multiple sliding doors with screens on the home allowed us to bring the summer breezes in when the mosquitos did their early evening hunting. We didn’t use the canoe but when we rent it next time, we will! The lake by the dock is shallow and the water is crystal clear. We had access to the lake with a short paddle trip. If you go into Hayward, there are lots of great shops and activities. But the show is the cabin. We needed a relaxing getaway. And it was perfect for us! We can’t wait to come back.

Amazing Cabin!

An amazing cabin! Absolutely beautiful from the inside to the outside. The owner thought of every detail from heated flooring to a wall of windows overlooking the lake. The location was perfect, just a 15 min drive to downtown Hayward. Within an hour upon arrival we saw a dozen deer and an Eagle. The owner Cassidy, answered my questions promptly. We look forward to staying here again. A wonderful experience!

Winter Wonderland

Magic Frozen Lake Retreat

Stunning views and a beautiful house with all the necessary amenities to make your stay comfortable! We arrived in the late afternoon with temperatures in the low 20s. It was wonderful to realize that the housekeeper had made us a fire in the wood burning fireplace! About 10 minutes to the OO Birkie Trail head. We’ll be back!!

Great property

We had a great stay at Hayward Haus. The amenities were all in order, really lacked nothing. The property was top shelf and the host, Cassidy was very responsive. Great 40th anniversary stay.

Gorgeous & Relaxing

Booked a weekend getaway and this place definitely did not disappoint!! The cabin is immaculate. Bed was super comfortable. Very well designed with has everything you would need inside and out. Love the Berkie connection too! Canoe was a huge perk as we got out on the lake without having to drive our kayaks up with us. And the most amazing thing was no mosquitoes!! I don’t know how since it was June in WI on a lake but it was pretty perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Cabin

We had a lovely time at Hayward Haus. The space is very thoughtfully appointed and aesthetically pleasing. We stayed cozy and warm amidst below zero temps, with the in floor heating and wood burning fireplace. The setting on the lake is beautiful. However, be aware during the winter the cabin is situated right in the middle of snowmobile trails and we found the constant din of motors rushing by detracted from the peaceful setting. Recommend staying here if you’re looking for a more upscale cabin experience.

I can’t EVEN!

I don’t want to say anything nice about this property because I want it all to myself! I took four mental health days here and it absolutely cleansed my soul. Complete comfort with complete modernity surrounded by silence and nature’s beauty. There are no words for how strongly I recommend this house. Amazing. Cassidy was awesome to deal with. The house was the cleanest VRBO I’ve ever stayed in.
