Cottage Cove Oceanfront Retreat

Experience the beauty of the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia by bringing your boat and fishing rods to explore the lovely seaside. If you're more inclined to relax, you can retreat to the gazebo, enjoy swimming, and go fishing at this unique and family-friendly cove.

Cottage Cove is conveniently located near two stunning beaches. Clam Harbour Beach, known for its sand castle competition, and Martinique Beach, famous for its white sandy shores.

The upper level of the cottage features an open concept kitchen and dining area with half-cathedral ceilings and access to a wrap-around deck which overlooks the water from every angle. The master bedroom on this level offers an en suite, a queen bed, dresser, and a large shower as well as a deep jacuzzi tub.

On the bottom floor, you'll find the second and third bedrooms. One bedroom includes a double bed and dresser, while the other has two twin beds and a dresser. This level also features a second bathroom, a living room, and a laundry room.

Beautiful cottage in a great location

Had a lovely stay with our family. Cottage has everything you could need - all details taken care of. Very responsive host as well. The area is beautiful and it was centrally located for many day trips to other parts of the island. Hope to come back soon!

Outstanding experience

Scott’s place was the perfect anchor for us to explore so much of Nova Scotia. We are all from California and there was so much to see and appreciate. The country was amazing, And Scott was the best host possible. We asked him about firewood, and he showed up that day and chopped some more for us. The house couldn’t have been more welcoming, functional or beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Magnificent Cottage!

The panoramic view of the water is magnificent! We got to see a rare rainbow and the moment the rainbow appeared a ruby throated hummingbird appeared next to us on the upper deck! We loved having breakfast, lunch and dinner, reading books and playing Scrabble on the deck right outside the kitchen. We could watch the great blue herons and the ospreys fish and frolic in the waters around the cottage! Scott and Nettie were so warm and welcoming and answered all of our questions! They made great recommendations for local restaurants, bakeries and farmer's markets. Thanks so much for your kindness and thoughtfulness!

The property is absolutely lovely and exceptionally well equipped. The beds were comfy and the house very clean. Amenities are a stone’s throw away (groceries, liquor store, hardware), which is always handy for that last minute need. The host is extremely responsive and kind. Would love to stay again!

Amazing cottage with amazing prime location

We spent 5 wondeful days in the cotttage of Scott Jones. The cottage was fully equipped with everyting you need and a little bit more. The master bathroom was very nice, large sized and with a large walk-in shower - we loved it. The living area was simultaneous a little entertainment area with very large tv, sondbar and amazon fire stick - very nice. The weather was very beautiful, so we were able to use the nice outdoor area of the property. Thanks to Scott and his family that we were allowed to use his cottage for a while. We felt like at home.

Exactly as described!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cottage Cove! The view was amazing as was the deck and gazebo to enjoy it from! The house was fresh, super clean and equipped with everything we needed! We launched our own boat and enjoyed exploring the coves! Due to the weather we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit or the kayaks but we made good use of the TV and all of the movies! We had 3 kids under 8 who enjoyed the large lawn and the big rocks! Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!

Beautiful location with a stunning view to enjoy. Cottage was spacious, very well kept and the owner made sure we had all we would need from coffee/tea, dishwasher/washer pods to ice packs in the freezer. All your needs are met for a very enjoyable time here.

Cozy vacation home

We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful home on the water. It was so clean and comfortable, we were able to relax and enjoy each others company. The location was great, very close to many places yet quiet and private overlooking the water. The host was great at communicating and getting right back to a ll our questions. They put a lot of thought into all the extra touches, it really made us feel welcome on this vacation. We would definitely like to return!

Fantastic family vacation

The house is located right on the water with awesome views. Property was very clean and Scott was great to deal with. Kayaks are an extra bonus which our family has a blast using them. The porch area outside is great for some relaxation and board games with the family. Would definitely recommend the rental property and will look forward to stay there again in the future.

Super clean and right on the fjord

The house was very clean and well appointed. All needed accessories in bedrooms, baths, and kitchen were available. It is 45 minutes northeast of Halifax so is central to the island if folks want to tour the whole island from one homebase. This does result in long driving days but it works. It is very close to the main northeast coastal road Trunk 7. This made it easy to find but also means road noise can be heard from the upstairs master bedroom. Downstairs rooms do not hear the road. It rained our whole stay and we were not able to enjoy the deck so we enjoyed the foggy view from inside. Fog or sun, the water view is interesting.

Fantastischer Aufenthalt - Eine Unterkunft, die absolut zu empfehlen ist!!!

Zu viert machten wir uns Ende September 2022 auf den Weg nach Nova Scotia, in das Cottage von Scott & Nettie Jones. Die Abreise/Anreise stand unter keinem guten Stern - Hurricane "Fiona" zeigte am Abreisetag seine verheerende Kraft, so dass wir erst mit einem Tag VerspĂ€tung abfliegen konnten. Doch nach der Ankunft wurde alles gut. Obwohl ein Großteil der Provinz Nova Scotia mit AufrĂ€umarbeiten beschĂ€ftigt war und wir mit zeitweiligen StromausfĂ€llen zu kĂ€mpfen hatten, mangelte es uns an nichts. Unsere Gastgeber Scott & Nettie kĂŒmmerten sich von Anfang bis Ende um uns. - Zwei Menschen, auf die wir uns absolut verlassen konnten! Auch die Lage des GrundstĂŒcks ist wunderbar. Es liegt in einer Bucht, direkt am Wasser - schöner geht es nicht. Sollten wir jemals wieder nach Nova Scotia kommen, wĂŒssten wir sofort, welche Unterkunft wir mieten wĂŒrden.... _______________________________________________________________ Fantastic stay - An accommodation that is absolutely recommended!!! Four of us made our way to Nova Scotia, to the cottage of Scott & Nettie Jones at the end of September 2022. The departure / arrival was not under a good star - Hurricane "Fiona" showed its devastating power on the day of departure, so we could only leave with one day delay. But, after the arrival everything became good. Although much of the province of Nova Scotia was busy with cleanup and we had to deal with intermittent power outages, we wanted for nothing. Our hosts Scott & Nettie took care of us from beginning to end. - Two people we can absolutely rely on!! The location of the property is wonderful as well. Located in a cove, directly by the water - it couldn't be more beautiful. If we ever make it to Nova Scotia again, we would know immediately which accommodation we would rent....
