Waterfront Northern Neck Virginia Rivah Hem med kajakpaddling

Huset ligger på en lugn kulle utanför Great Wicomico River, bara några miles från Chesapeake Bay.

Rivah Home har blivit en destination för kajakpaddling och paddla boarding.

Två paddla boards [SUP] och två kajaker tillhandahålls [en tandem kajak kommer snart]. Dessa är fritidskajaker. Om du vill ta med havskayak, etc. finns det gott om plats att parkera mellan utflykter.

Utforska bäckar med massor av vilda djur inklusive Barretts Creek, Horn Harbor Creek och Ball Creek.

Mer erfarna kajakare kanske vill paddla till Reedville eller Dameron Marsh Natural Area Preserve. Båda är cirka sju miles från Rivah Home.

Reedville är en unik stad med många restauranger och ett fiskermuseum. Staden är utrustad med Sea Kayaking Virginia: En Paddler Guide till dagsturer [i vårt kajakbibliotek]

Den 316 hektar stora Dameron Marsh Natural Area Preserve är en i en serie skyddade marker som leder den västra och östra stranden av Chesapeake Bay i Virginia. Detta bevarar innehåller en av de mest betydande våtmarkerna på Chesapeake Bay för marsh-bird communities

This property is absolutely beautiful from the house to the surrounding area. Mary and Larry are terrific hosts and communicate well. We had the pleasure of staying over Christmas with family and fur babies. The house was beautifully decorated which made you feel right at home. The beds were comfortable, and I cannot say enough about the kitchen, it has anything you would ever need to prepare and serve a feast. I loved the scenery and the quiet property. We are excited and planning our trip this year. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful Rivah House. Debbie O.

We spent 5 days at the Rivah House with our adult children and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house was clean and comfortable and had a beautiful view from every room. We spent quite a bit of time on the water kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing and crabbing.Mary and Larry are great communicators and their house was well-stocked with essentials - from cookware and coffee to kayaks and paddles.

Absolutely Amazing Rivah Home

We had an absolutely wonderful time here! This place exceeded all expectations. The house is well stocked and super clean. The owners were very nice and helpful. We had a blast fishing and just hanging out enjoying the property. My family and I are already planning another vacation here. I cannot say enough to express how amazing this home is.

I have never stayed at a rental that was as well supplied with just about everything you might need during a stay. The house was spotless. The kitchen has new appliances and any pot or pan you might need. There are plenty of utensils for grilling outside as well. The views over the water were enjoyable and restful whether they were from the lower porch or upper deck. A very pleasant place to stay.

Highly recommend

My family of four (all adults) and our fur baby spent this past weekend in this home. First, the property is secluded and private. Very nice view of the river. Very clean. I love that there’s no carpet and rugs! The beds are comfortable and the hosts thought of everything you need. Firewood, crackers, chocolate, marshmallows for smores, bottled water, sunscreen, bug spray, lanterns for outside. The little things matter, like well labeled switches, good wifi, place to work, well stocked kitchen. Larry and Mary were very responsive and provided recommendations of places to eat, shop, and things to do. Overall, we highly rate this place!

Exquisite!

One of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed at! Larry and Mary are such hospitable hosts. The house was exquisite... layout was exactly as pictured, absolutely spotless, and stocked with more helpful items for guests to use than I've ever seen elsewhere. The location was so peaceful and exactly what our group was looking for. Everyone had plenty of space within the house to either spread out or come together. Larry and Mary thought of absolutely everything, and were so kind to provide a helpful list of their recommendations in the area, many of which we visited and enjoyed. Highly recommend!!!

Above and Beyond

The house and property were wonderful. These hosts truly get it. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for an excellent weekend. They truly anticipated our needs and the kitchen was a breath of fresh air to other places I’ve stayed. 10/10 will be back. It was hard to find a dog friendly home and this place was immaculate. The crab trap was a fun surprise and between it, the trout, and croaker caught off the dock and in the kayak we had all we needed.

Relaxing stay at a gorgeous property

We were a group of girlfriends visiting the Northern Neck for a long weekend and found this property to be everything stated and more! It’s surrounded by water with beautiful sunsets, easy kayaking and paddle boarding, both provided by the owners. The house itself was lovely, very comfortable with everything you need. We especially enjoyed all the great places to gather, the open upper deck, the covered porch, the nice long dock, and the fire pit area all with beautiful water views. I’ve already told several others about it and hope to return!

Wonderful property!

There were 3 families that were in the area for a wedding. We had a wonderful time at the property. The views were awesome and the owners had coffee, spices, bathroom amenities, and condiments available. The kitchen was fully stocked. We were grateful, since we cooked several meals there. Would definitely recommend this property to others!!

Perfect vacation home. Come here with your favorite people in your life.

This was the best vacation home we've ever stayed at and we've stayed at a lot. My extended family typically get together 3-4 times a year but with Covid we haven't gotten together nearly as much. So we booked this home with 10 people (3 families) and 2 pups since the kids (teens/young adults) like fishing and water activities. Beautiful modern home right on the water. The home had every single thing you could think you would need and a bunch of stuff we didn't think we needed but it was there. Gas grill, plus griddle and a smoker too so all of the bbq options were covered. 2 stand up paddleboards and 2 kayaks in addition to the 2 of our own we brought. We wanted steamed crabs one night and there were mallets and openers and seasonings. Two coffee makers and kcups. One of the kids forgot a toothbrush - there were brand new ones plus toothpaste and shampoo and soap and every toiletry. Perfect house layout with tons of room in the common areas - kitchen, dining room, living room for everyone to lounge around and hang out. Covered porch with even more room. Firepit and adirondack chairs. Second floor deck with even more space to hang out. All the bedrooms were clean and we all slept great. We spent a week kayaking, fishing, paddleboarding and our two puppies had their first swim in their lives. Fishing charter on one day and we brought home a ton of trout and spot. Wineries all over the area. Steamed crab and crab legs. Great seafood all week. Board games every day. Movie nights. Lastly our hosts, Larry and Mary were in touch with us anytime we needed anything or had any questions. Instructions for everything was perfect and communicated to us. Door codes, wifi passwords, instructions on where everything was. They gave us awesome recommendations for their favorite spots and places to check out. Perfect hosts. TLDR - come here with your favorite people in your life for a relaxing, exciting, fun, great time and remember again why these people are your favorite people in your life.

THE perfect location to escape and relax with friends

Larry and Mary were the perfect hosts. The house was even more impressive than the pictures. Situated on its own little peninsula and quiet cove the house offered relaxation and beautiful sunsets. Just pack a bag and go. The kitchen and home have all the utensils and gadgets needed for your stay.

Absolutely beautiful

What a special place! Gorgeous coastal style house, looks very new, and filled with everything you can possibly need or want. No detail is spared, from the comfy beds to the assortment of coffee flavors to the kayaks, paddle boards, grills, fire pit, the list is endless. But the best part is the location of the house: a gorgeous property surrounded by water on three sides with expansive vistas of sunsets on the water. Truly gorgeous. We loved it and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend it.

Wonderful Trip

A wonderful place!

The check in process was quick and simple! The home is gorgeous, with views out every window. Plenty of space for a girls weekend, in a peaceful setting. Kayaks and SUPs available for use, fully stocked kitchen, with plenty of amenities. The fireplace came in handy when we got rained on our first night. Mary and Larry are excellent hosts, and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Will definitely come back again and again!
