“First we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned but this was quickly sorted and we were switched to another room. However, it was so damp as to be unfit for use, particularly as my wife is asthmatic. The damp odour and poor atmosphere both in the room and the corridor meant we decided to leave and went to an another hotel. The evidence of damp was so obvious as to beg the question why the hotel management felt it appropriate to book out the room.”
“Excellent country hotel, not too far from Windermere. Seems to be a dog and dogowners haven! I really liked the presence of the cute dogs. Surroundings very lovely. Please be aware that there are no restaurants in the vicinty and hotel has limited capacity in theirs. After a full day on the lake we came back to the hotel and no dinner😡”
“Lovely room. We booked the dog friendly room and we had dog bowls, and a doggy treat pack including toy, treats & poo bags. Nice little touch!
Great food as always, lovely full English breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.”
“Room very dated. Shower soaks the bathroom. Shower seal hanging off so water poured onto the floor. Bath panel full of grime across the top and room carpet quite stained. Out view was a brick wall. I was very disappointed to be staying at the back of a garage and not in the actual hotel. I don’t think this was very clear when booking. If I had known I would not have booked. It certainly was not worth £159”
