Wonderful
Actually bigger than expected! Exceeded my expectations. Plenty of common space for 7 adults and 2 dogs. The only downsides are 1. One of the bedrooms is two twin beds (which is advertised, so not a bad thing just something to be aware of). We brought two queen air mattresses and they fit just fine. 2. The fire pit is right on a downward hill, just be careful walking around there! The downsides are very small and I truly thought it’d be a smaller cabin than what it was. The road to the cabin is not near as bad as I anticipated, GPS took us right to it and you just have to go slow up/down the mountain if you don’t had 4WD. Everyone was so pleased with the stay though, we’ll definitely be booking here again!

3 Generation Family Get together
Thank you to the owners. We had a great time. Rooms were very spacious. 2 Beds had firm mattresses, except master and bunk beds. Granddaughters absolutely loved the cabin. Views are amazing. Only downside had nothing to do with house. The road up the mountain was awful. I would suggest nothing without a good amount of clearance. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Peaceful oasis in the mountains
Beautiful cabin in the mountains. The road up there is a bit of a challenge - but once you arrive, it is worth it. Plenty of room for our group of 7 and we really enjoyed the remoteness - whether sitting around the fire pit or drinking coffee on the front porch. Easy access to lots of stuff around the area include a great winery 10 minutes away. We enjoyed our stay!

Upstairs cozy and clean. Downstairs a little tired. Found a lot of dead spiders. I would strongly consider AWD; lower vehicles may struggle.

Secluded spacious mountain home
We enjoyed staying in this beautiful mountain home. The kitchen is fully stocked and it has everything you could need. However, it is a 10-15 min drive at 5 MPH up a very rough unpaved road to get to the house. We made it in my Toyota van, but we spun tires more than once. I don't think we could have made it if it rained. We picked this house because we have 5 in our family and due to family dynamics, we need 5 beds, which is really hard to find. The beds were comfy and everything was clean. Might not matter to anyone else, but I was a bit frustrated because they gave us the exact number of towels we needed for our group. I like to have extra towels, but I couldn't find a linen closet with extras. We absolutely loved the area. Downtown Hendersonville is great for shopping and restaurants. Asheville is 30 min away. We enjoyed a visit to a local orchard. Overall, a great trip.

Cabin in the woods
We enjoyed our recent 3 nights in the mountains of the Blue Ridge. The house was as described, roomy and clean. The only complaint/problem was with the downstairs bathroom/shower. The nozzle needs replacing, water shoots everywhere. Also the shower pan needs looking at, it floods with minimal usage. Otherwise a wonderful house.

Just What We Wanted
We wanted to go somewhere where we could have some solid family time and enjoy the outdoors. This property was great! More than enough room for a family of five and two dogs to sleep eat and play. The owners were communicative before, during, and after our stay. It's about 30 minutes out from Asheville, so just a short ride. My tips: - The driveway is steep. My truck had less than quarter of a tank on the last day. I backed it in to make packing easier. Due to the incline and low fuel, it wouldn't start! Slowly braked down to a flat spot in the road and it started right up. Keep it at least half a tank. - If you plan on going tubing, pre-pay for a ticket. We didn't have an issue last time in the area, but this time they were constantly packed. - Make sure whoever is sleeping downstairs has an extra blanket. It's much cooler than the upstairs. - Driving up the mountain was a little nerve-wracking the first day, even in a full-size 4WD truck, but you get used to it fairly quickly. I'd be weary to make the trip in a front-wheel drive car on an icy day. Like I said, it was a great experience. Kids, dogs, wife and I had a great stay!

a Holiday miracle
We visited during the coldest cold spell in years. It was several degrees below zero. The house, despite being up a very steep driveway on an also steep and winding dirt road, did not lose power at any point. It was well heated with lots of backup supplies. Kitchen well furnished with both cookware and assorted spices and cooking needs, if oddly organized. Upstairs bathrooms are “cozy” and doors on shower rooms make them feel smaller. Lovely to find a ping pong table in garage. Well stocked bookshelves and some kids games. Dog friendly. Internet very slow- be prepared for that.

Thanksgiving
My family has been staying in the mountains for Thanksgiving for the last 10+ years. We've stayed in different towns and all kinds of cabins. This cabin was my favorite. I loved the two levels with dens/tv's so everyone could watch what they wanted to. We had 3 out of town family members that came Thanksgiving day and they loved playing ping pong. Kitchen was very spacious for all the cooking. We even grilled out the night before. Loved the trail behind the house but it turned out hunters were out and shooting so be careful. They even had corn out for the deer. Never could find the waterfall. The rest of the house was wonderful. Everyone had a bedroom. I would definitely go there again. Hoping to go in a couple of years for Thanksgiving again. Also loved the view from the deck. I had my coffee out there every morning and got to see the sun come up.

Awesome cabin with a great view....the only issue we had was the gravel going up the mountain was a little lose 300 feet before you turn up the drive causing our van to burn some rubber getting over it. We would stay here again!

Girls getaway trip
The place is secluded & quiet which was great for our group. Im glad we were in a suv because you have to drive up the side of a mountain on a gravel road. The owner had a nice little basket of snacks for us. Lake lure, chimney rock & downtown Asheville is all within 30 minute drive. Not a lot of water pressure for the shower, the dryer takes forever to dry stuff. The place is a little outdated but overall it was very comfortable for our group to stay. By far the easiest check in and out i have ever had. We would stay there again.

Overall good experience. 20 minutes from Biltmore, 30 minutes from downtown Asheville and there are decent restaurants in Hendersonville. It is remote and the road in is a bit rough, but it is described well in the listing. Nice trail behind the cabin if you like to walk, but it’s steep.

If you love hiking an the outdoor mountian experiance, this rental is for you.
There were some draw backs, beds, pillows, and appliances were not the best quality. Property should have mowing around the house. Positives the porch and the seclusion make this home a nice place to reconnect with family and nature.

Serene Location, Rather Central, Cozy Home
The home is cozy. Upstairs is definitely better than the basement/downstairs, but for the convenience of having 4 beds and 3 baths it was nice. Beautiful views of the surrounding forest and mountain. The drive up the road is no joke. Try and drive it in daylight if possible. Very steep and bumpy, hairpins, and if it rains gets tricky. Unfortunately, the house was locked and check in instructions did not allow us to get in when we arrived at night. Luckily was able to get in through the garage door, but that felt more like an answered prayer than a happy accident. The phone number listed was non responsive during check in (and signal is poor up there) and we still haven’t heard back from that specific number. When I was able to get and connect to wifi I was able to message the host and was then contacted in the morning. They were then responsive via messaging and the rest of the trip was fine. I had to work during the trip and WiFi was weak when multiple users were on it, but it worked out for what was needed.

Loved our cabin in the clouds!!!
We had a beautiful stay at the property and had everything we needed for the utmost comfort and convenience. The cabin was gorgeous and nice and clean; very cozy with plenty of seating indoors and out and having three full bathrooms was an added luxury for us. Kitchen very well-equipped; we wanted for nothing when it came to cooking. The only thing was, Asheville was further than we were hoping (close to 45 minutes away) but no big deal since we only went into town one day and spent the rest of the time enjoying the cabin’s amenities—the fire pit, the balcony porch with rocking chairs, the nearby hiking trails, the games and the ping-pong table (boy, that was a HUGE hit with the kids!). We wanted seclusion and we sure got it! Very grateful for the 4-wheel drive, as other reviewers have said; the drive up the mountain is definitely steep and not paved until you get to the property’s driveway. It’s easy to find the house, following the owner’s instructions. All in all, it was a vacation to cherish and we would highly recommend this property for a blissful, relaxing mountain getaway!

Quiet, clean and spacious
Our family enjoyed a nice stay in this home. It has a lot of room to spread out. Three bedrooms have adjoining baths, which we appreciated. The house had everything we needed, and the property manager was a pleasure to work with. If the weather is bad, you will need an suv to get in and out. Our sedan could not have made it if the roads were slippery.

Cabin in the woods.
The cabin was just perfect. Would have loved to have been able to use the outdoor fireplace but it rained the entire time we were there. Thankfully we use the advice of the home owner and got to the house before dark the first time. The incline is a bit steep to the house and we had a rental car that we were afraid would not get us up the hill but it did.

Vacation in the mountains
Loved Loved Loved the cabin. We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. LOTS of room. Sooooo quiet and secluded didn't want to leave. I will say that the road up to the cabin is quite a drive but that also is why it is secluded. I myself had a little anxiety driving it but thats just me, no one else had a problem.

The road in and out was a bit rough getting up and down the mountain. I suggest that a drain pipe be put in at the end of the driveway. It was washed out due to mountain runoff of water. My son and I tried to fix it but it washed out the next day. Very nice cabin but the road and driveway cut down on our sight seeing!

Very roomy
The cabin was great. Even though there were four of us we did not even use the downstairs. We had a little trouble with the instructions to use the garage door for entry as it did not work. Also, contacted the property managers with no assistance. But were able to use downstairs door without any major problems. Firepit was very nice but would have been nice to have some firestarter and maybe a few logs left on porch since it had been raining and the first day or so wood was too wet to have a fire. The main issue was the road. The owner did tell me it was difficult but we (city folks) had a difficult time with our SUV. We got accustomed to it, but it isn't one you want to go up and down several times a day. We did thoroughly enjoy our visit.

Beautiful secluded wooded area. Cabin is comfortable and great for a disconnect. DO use a 4W vehicle because of the hills in the area. WIFI and mobile phone access is not reliable at the cabin. Three Bedrooms are spacious and the 4th needs work. Bathroom shower on the lower level leaks - so other 2 bathrooms are great to use for showering.

Review
Very clean and spacious house with nice decks and fire pit. Kitchen came with many spices, foils and such. Very clean. You really do need a 4 wheel drive to get here with we had. Only negative is that the property has steps up to the top that are not overly handicapped friendly. However, very quiet and great fire-to that and they even had the wood waiting for us!

House was clean and isolated as described. Road was worse than described getting to house. It would be really difficult to get to if raining in summer. I had a Ford Edge and it was ok but really bad ruts the last 1/2 mile.

Great secluded Mountain Cabin
The property owner answered right away when I called to see about checking in a little early. The cabin itself was just as described. My brother and kids had a great time playing ping pong. The last part of the drive is a little rough. A little over a mile on Old Mill Road. This was described in the listing though. So glad I decided to drive my Tahoe instead of the Chevy Cruz. Overall this was a great cabin and a good price. I do wish we would have stayed longer and had time to explore the trail behind the cabin but we spent time in Ashville and Hendersonville. Also white water rafting with Blue Heron. The guides with this rafting company were amazing and would recommend checking them out if you are staying for a while. The town of Hendersonville had a lot to offer. We spent over 4 hours just walking Main Street and did not even check out the local shops on side streets or others. For sure a good place to go on a family vacation with both children and adults. Something for everyone.
