âLovely âold houseâ feel to this hotel. Friendly staff. Our room was upgraded for no apparent reason and we were appreciative of this. Comfortable bed.â
âLovely gem of an Inn. Great location and the hosts are super. Our dogs were looked after and they enjoyed the treats they sell and the dinner they had when we had our dinner. Highly recommend â
âYoland is an excellent host and she made us feel very welcome. It is a fairly quiet area in a small village with other areas accessible. Beautiful gardens and picturesque scenery. â
âI had to stay in Shropshire overnight and managed to get a room here. What a lovely surprise this was. The property is situated in beautiful surroundings and quiet countryside. The host Rebecca is simply wonderful. I received a warm welcome and a speedy check in. The bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I left feeling fresh and well rested. â
âFabulously friendly staff , nothing was too much trouble , place was spotless , breakfast was lovely , great choice of items , no evening meals served but light bites which were fabulous , Bar was well stocked too .. â
âNice quiet tranquil location, wonderful characterful property. A nice surprise to find a fully decorated Christmas tree up in the front room upon arrival! Contact with the host Jeanette very easy through text. Enjoyed the log burner on the winter evenings. Already thinking about a return trip next Christmas!â

"booked a single room for two nights. I stayed in room number 100 and had a 90 bed set in a corner and a view from the window right into a wall. Nothing like the room I had booked on the website. There was a smell of mold in the room and urine in the toilet.
I went down to reception after the first night to ask to change rooms and told about the smell. received a reply from the reception who spoke to the hotel manager who told me that the smell is due to the fact that they have just repainted the room and changed the carpet and that they will not arrange a new room for me. Which was a lie because the room was neither repainted nor had a new carpet and I can tell the difference in urine, mold and paint. Poor service from reception and manager but the friendly woman working at breakfast was phenomenal. I will visit beautiful Shrewsbury again but never the Prince Rupert Hotel."
