A great place to stay in the middle of Hexham
A change of plans took me to Hexham and the Beaumont hotel for what was to be a very pleasant experience. Arrived two hours early and was only looking to store my bagage as I fully expected to be asked to wait until regular check-in was open. Instead the hotel went the extra mile and had my room ready in a bit more than half an hour. And the Abbey and the pleasant park just across the road it was very easy to spend those 30 minutes in relaxing way. I got a spacious twin room on the 1st floor which looked like it had been freshly refurbished. Very good bathroom and both a work desk and small round table with comfortable chairs. The one drawback, particularly in the hot weather was the lack of Air Conditioning with the main source of fresh air being the window which opened up to the main road running through Hexham. The noise was not bothersome to me with the window closed and I was fine working in the evening with the window open but trying to sleep with the window open was a challenge even with earplugs. On the bottom floor of the hotel there is an inviting resturant and bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner which was well visited by hotel guests and other patrons alike. I did not eat at the hotel as I left early each day to hike along sections of Hadrian's Wall but I would like to try the food on my next visit. Service was swift and friendly and I will be happy to stay at the Beaumont again.

Lovely stay at this hotel. Staff are really nice and helpful. Room was lovely with a view over the park. We stayed room only and found the cost of breakfast @ £17.50 each a bit pricey, however, saying that it was very nice. Would we stay again, definitely but on a room only basis.

Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. My only criticism was that my cooked breakfast arrived almost cold the 2 mornings I was there.

The only issues were the noise from the sawmill at 5:30am on Thursday and the mould on one of the windows could have been cleaned off. Otherwise it's an excellent hotel.

Perfect boutique hotel. Loved the vibe in the restaurant/bar and reception area . We ate in the evening and had breakfast twice and couldn’t fault the quality and choice . Would highly recommend and excellent value for money .

Great room let down by meal
No probs with room with was well up to 3& standard and the breakfast was good. The meal was poor though (a) The portions were small necessitating multi-courses rather than a mains and a coffee, and (b) The steak was really tough and Hexham has Robson's butchers. one of the best butchers int he country for the quality of their meats.

Excellent hotel. Staff great. Would have given it 5 stars but the TV reception on most stations was unwatchable. Did report it on checkout. Should have done it earlier in our stay but didn't.

Would definitely recommend. This was our first time for my husband and myself at the hotel for a mini break. The bedroom was lovely and spacious, spotlessly clean with a comfy bed. All the hotel staff are friendly and attentive. Excellent food for dinner in the hotel restaurant and tasty breakfast options. We were able to enjoy drinks at tables outside the front of the hotel with a view of the park and abbey opposite.

Central location - very comfortable, spacious and elegantly appointed room. Staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful! The set-up for electric power, which necessitates the use of the door key, was confusing at first, but once sorted out was no problem.

THE place for food and taste
Lovely stay in this Boutique Hotel. Everything is so tastefully put together, loved the room. Friendliest of welcome by the owner, great service at breakfast next morning. Dinner was best in 2 weeks so far. Only tiny downside is the missing AC while it was really, really hot weather. Still highly recommended!
