Our new favorite place
I cannot say enough about how wonderful this property and the owners are. Everything was very clean, wonderful amenities and within the most beautiful cabin I've ever been in. It felt like home from the moment we walked in. The owners were very kind and went above and beyond to accommodate us and to make us feel extra special since we had come out that way and booked the cabin for our nearby wedding. It was a wonderful stay and we cannot wait to return. This cabin has become our new favorite place, we're homesick for it already!

Sweet Thanksgiving
Our family of 4 stayed at this beautiful cabin for 4 days at Thanksgiving, with my sister. It was perfectly equipped, impeccably clean, and in such a lovely setting. We had terrible weather when we first arrived which knocked the power out for 12 hours. Then lots of rain. But, even that was completely fine. The dining table is great for board games and cards! The owners are attentive and kept in touch, making sure we got through the outage just fine. The trails in back are beautiful, even when soaked in rain. And the hot tub and fire pit are perfect complements. We could not have had a nicer time. We would definitely love to return!

West Virginia Fall Getaway
What a lovely, well appointed cabin and a great location! Easy and convenient access to the New River Gorge and neighboring areas of interest. A beautiful place to fully appreciate the spectacular fall changes in the mountains of WV. All of us enjoyed our stay and plan on returning.

Cabin at the New
Cabin was very clean and comfortable and wonderful hiking trails amid the property. Will consider staying there again for another family reunion, very peaceful surroundings. Good place to relax and decompress.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT CABIN!!!
We stayed at Cabin at the New to get away for the weekend, be closer to the Spartan Race, and celebrate my daughter’s birthday. This place was exactly the size we needed (3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms) and the hot tub was AMAZING. Such a perfectly located, cozy, and quiet place. We Will absolutely stay at Tim’s Cabin at the New again. Thank you, Tim!

We'll be back!
This stay was amazing - the property and the house were incredible, just what we were looking for to really unwind, disconnect and just relax. The house was great for our group - 4 adults and a 9 year old. It was clean and comfortable, very well stocked and had the little touches that stand out - good linens, basic spices, kitchen supplies/utensils, coffee filters, etc. And the property - BEAUTIFUL! The trails, the trees, the foliage... if you are really looking to disconnect, this is the place! The grounds were well maintained, the sunroom was a favorite of ours as was the hot tub. Close to so many activities - hiking, tours, swimming, boating - never a chance to get bored. And while we don't expect needing anything or much attention from the owners on stays like this, if you have an issue, you want owners to respond quickly. The one time we needed to ask about something on this stay, someone was very quick to respond. I only wish we didn't have to leave, I certainly was not ready to! This is the kind of property that I would never question returning to and one I kinda wish I had for myself :) I miss it already!

Perfect
It was perfect! clean, comfortable and accommodating on the inside, slept like a rock. Outside has great walking trails, a nice fire pit or hot tube to relax after a day in the woods. Relaxing Wooded Retreat

Wonderful weekend at the New
We had a fantastic weekend of climbing and relaxing in this perfect little cabin in the woods. Amazing Get-away!
This is the perfect getaway location! My family had a wonderful weekend. The cabin is beautiful, cozy, and has all the amenities you'll need to enjoy your stay. The hot tub was icing on the cake. I would absolutely recommend The Cabin at the New to anyone!

Christmas stay
From the time we booked this property the owner went above and beyond! They made sure the Christmas tree was up. And all the essentials we could need to get our stay going. Property was just as beautiful as the pictures showed. My family was able to play games and really enjoy each others company!

Beautiful but don’t stay for hot tub
The cabin is very charming and cozy. However, we rented this property largely for the hot tub and was told it was set to 100* and ready. We stayed in motels d December and it was around 30-40* outside. We were unable to use the hot tub all weekend because the temperature lock was on and the water never got above 90* and we left the cover on all weekend. Given the temperature outside, the water was too cold to get in. Otherwise, no complaints.

I do wish you had flagged this during your stay as we would have sent someone over right away. This turned out to be a relatively quick fix. We are incredibly grateful you enjoyed the rest of your stay.

Excellent Stay at Excellent Property
We had a great time at the Cabin. It's in an excellent location, with convenient access to a load of trails, visitor centers, and river access. We did some really long, memorable hikes around New River and the house was perfect to come back to at the end of the day. It was clean, had all of the advertised amenities and was very quiet, private, and peaceful. We'd recommend the cabin to anyone without hesitation.

A slight bump upon arrival with the access code. As far as the cabin goes; it was exceptionally clean and neat. Any of the trivial displacements were overridden by the small homey touches and comfort. Thank You :)

Beautiful Cabin
This was a fantastic place for my friends and I to get away for a weekend and visit Summersville Lake. Had a blast on the lake all day then came back to relax and enjoy the peaceful cabin in the evenings. Tim was awesome to communicate with and would definitely stay here again if we come back to Summersville lake.

Almost heaven
We really enjoyed our stay at Cabin at the New. The area has lots of natural beauty & outdoor adventures to partake in. We were blessed with good weather & the cabin was clean & had everything we needed! We enjoyed time spent in the hot tub & on the decks outside & the indoor sunroom was great for playing games. The trails out back have potential but need some maintenance. We loved the convenient location which was also off the beaten path so we really were able to rest & relax. Overall, we would highly recommend a stay here!

Awesome Cabin!
The cabin was exactly as described and very clean with everything you need! It is in a perfect spot to experience all that New River Gorge has to offer. We were never more than 20 minutes to any of the attractions. The hot tub was great after long days of hiking and rafting. The hosts are very responsive as well. I highly recommend this cabin! Thanks for a great vacation!

Great get away
The house was perfect. It was in a great location close to all of our planned activities: hiking, lake, whitewater rafting, scenic drives. It was great for getting away from all of the hustle and bustle of the city. Our teenage children would have liked to have had a TV in their bed room was their only complaint the entire week.

Perfect place for us
We had a wonderful stay! The house was very clean upon arrival and there were several enjoyable conveniences throughout like hotel sized toiletries in the bathrooms, plenty of towels, extra throw blankets, etc. The property was easy to get to and so beautiful! It was close to all the parks and exploring we wanted to do while in town. Highly recommend.

This Vrbo listing exceeds expectations! Everything was as advertised, if not better. The cabin was extremely cozy AND accommodating. The hot tub was clean and in working order. Restful and Fun.
We got together with friends and spent a quiet weekend in the beautiful cabin. We cooked in the large, nice kitchen. We relaxed in the hot tub surrounded by quiet woods. The house is cozy and has nice little touches to make you feel at home. We recommend it.

Everything we needed!
Cabin at the New was a perfect weekend for my bestie and our kids. The trails were super fun, and right there for us! The kitchen is well stocked. You’re about 10-15 minutes from activities and restaurants. The beds were comfortable too!
