“Wonderful stay”

“This is unique accommodation... in some ways it felt like going on school camp (the room) but with the most delicious french 4 course meal (which was anything but camp food!). The main building was covered in scafolding / maintenance which was a shame but the public bath was excellent. The shuttle service was excellent and service at dinner impeccable. Someone mentioned bugs and I thought they were being dramatic, but no, there are stink bugs everywhere!!! If that bothers you then probably not...

“Clean and quiet”

“An excellent Ryokan with lovely staff. We felt very well cared for. Thank you very much for your hospitality. The breakfast is spectacular. As advised by the owners, this is a very very traditional old house (it’s the whole point of the experience), so one should not expect hotel things like black out blinds, or soundproofing.”

“Family Mart just across the street. Washing machine in the room. Convenient location next to the train station and a short walk to the sights in town. I also liked the free ticket for visiting the sister hotel's baths. ”
