Gå över bron för att njuta av bål eller till och med slå upp ett tält för natten på vår fastighet tvärs över floden som är upplyst av festliga kafébelysningar strängda runt lägerelden. Vandra genom Nantahala National Forest direkt ut genom bakdörren. Eller om du föredrar varelserna, kan du njuta av det fullt utrustade köket, bekväma nya sängar (kung och drottning), nya gasblockar i vår sten spis, Wi-Fi, stor platt-TV med skålen programmering. Läs en bok eller bara titta på floden från sunroom / sleep veranda med sina bekväma stora stolar och soffa som öppnas till en drottning bäddsoffa. Njut av familjeservering vid det stora matbordet vackert gjord av återvunnen barnwood.

Bekvämt beläget på Wayah Road-delen av Mountain Waters Scenic Byway, en asfalterad väg, är hemmet lättillgängligt även under dåligt väder. Vi är precis tillräckligt långt utanför Franklin centrum (8 miles) för att vara avskilda men vi är direkt på väg till Wayah Bald, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Lake Nantahala och The Appalachian Trail. Franklin / Macon County har 16 lokala vattenfall, världens kända gruvbrytning och många cykel- och vandringsleder inklusive Appalachian Trail och Bartram Trail. Livsmedelsaffärer och restauranger ligger mindre än 10 minuter bort. Snabbt 15 minuter till Franklin centrum hittar du antikaffärer, lokalt hantverk, restauranger, underhållning och två lokalt ägda Micro Brewery Pubs. Äventyr finns rikligt i alla riktningar - eller så kan du välja att aldrig lämna när du har kommit!

Everything was Great. The Host Kathy, was on top of everything. Recommendations from food to eat in town and the hiking to every great spot. Also had a local Bobcat introduce himself at the bridge. Didn't have to go far just across the bridge and you was on a trail. Thank you, for allowing us to enjoy your space in the mountains.... We will be back!

The house was clean and the river was beautiful. The property was immaculate and very convenient. The only reason for 4 stars is pots and pans and knives and hot tub. The hot tub lid was so waterlogged I couldn't get it off to use the tub. I'm a fit woman but I would have needed a man's help to remove the lid. The pots and pans were in very poor shape and I had to go buy a knife to use because the knives were so dull. Maybe this is a safety thing, I don't know?Other than that, the bed was cozy and the property was absolutely lovely. If you are traveling with a family, it's perfect. Lots of cozy blankets around to snuggle up with, and lots of trails near by.

Nice place with most amenities! Could use a deep clean for cobwebs, walls kinda dirty, windows and algae build up on decks and walk ways. Also could use some new rugs through the house the one in are VERY used!

Beautiful Cabin on an Amazing Creek; centrally located!

We had a great stay, only critique would be additional electrical outlets or electrical strips added. Didn’t seem to be a ton of electrical outlets. Otherwise such an amazing place, we will look to book exact same place in the future.

Visit to Franklin NC for hiking adventures

A planned weekend away from the hustle and bussle of work life. We hiked on part of the Appalachian Trail, to experience Wayah Bald, Wesser Fire Tower and saw many waterfalls. Franklin is one of our favorite places to visit. The locals are extremely nice. There is so much to see and do. We are actually looking forward to becoming transplants to Franklin one day in the future.

Girls trip

The house was quaint, backing out of the driveway was hard to do, due to shrubbery and curve in road right before the driveway. On line it was mentioned they had a land line, which was not there and my cell reception did not exist while, thankfully,my friends did. The home is located in a good area and close to many places to visit and things to do. We enjoyed our visit.

The perfect family weekend!

This cabin and it's location gave us the perfect family weekend. We hiked to waterfalls, drove to Wayah Bald, and visited the Lazy Hiker Brewery... but we were always just as eager to get back to the cabin and enjoy the creek, fire pit, and hot tub! The proximity to hiking trails and to town were great for us, and we would definitely return!

Beautiful spot!

We loved our stay! The communication with the property manager was great, she was very quick to respond to some questions we had about the area. The house is very clean and the beds were comfy. We loved the hot tub and our children loved the stream. We had a campfire one night as well. A great family friendly spot that we will definitely consider again!

Great two-couple getaway!

Wonderful long weekend spent at a cozy cabin with scenic views of cascading waters down a beautiful stream, a hot tub with a view, and a fire pit area. The cabin was beautifully appointed with a cozy sunroom, well-stocked kitchen with some seasonings, crock pot, utensils, and cookware. We enjoyed the quaint living room with a fireplace. The two beds were very comfortable. When we received the 7 pages of directions for the cabin, we were a little taken aback by the details. I don’t think we’ve ever stayed in a rental with such detailed instructions. But, being rule-followers and having an appreciation for any question we had being answered, we were pleased with all the instructions. We understand, nowadays, people don’t always respect others’ stuff! Kathy was very attentive and responsive to our needs and questions! The Starlink was perfect for our use. It was easy to connect to. It was also easy to set up WiFi calling on our phones. We were able to make FaceTime calls to show our families the beautiful place with no problem!
