Great Location

Property is in a great location with an easy stroll to the beach. It is roomy and has ample space for 6 guests and dining in at night. The house needs a deep cleaning as the light fixtures and behind and under furniture is extremely dusty. Allergy sufferers beware! Also, you need to bring your own linens if you don’t want to do laundry each day as only one washcloth per guest was provided and only one dish towel and cloth in the kitchen. No hair dryer in the primary suite and no sample soaps or shampoos so remember to pack your bag accordingly.

Great place for relaxing vaca

This was our first time at HHI and we were very impressed! We are already planning to go back next year! First of all, communication with the property manager is excellent. They are very easy to talk to and respond fast. Check-in process is also simple and convenient. The house is located in a great, gated community. About a 5-6 minute walk to the beach. Overall the house is nice and we really enjoyed the pool; however, it does need updated. The blinds in our bedroom and living room were torn and broke and we had issues with the guest bathroom toilet. We did find a few bugs (they were dead) in the kitchen. Overall the beds were clean and very comfortable and the kitchen is stocked well.

Great vacation home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We were an extended family that converged in Hilton Head to rest and reconnect. This home was spacious and comfortable, and the mid-island location was very convenient. The beach was a 5-minute walk away once we discovered a footbridge over the canal near the house. The property manager was responsive to the minor problems that arose. Two surprises: the pool had trouble maintaining a warm temperature from day to day. Also, there was a $25 charge to let guests onto the gated plantation property, so we had to meet our local friends outside the plantation and drive them to the house when we invited them over for dinner. Other than that, we had a great time!

Great place

This house was amazing. We loved the layout, neighborhood and location to the beach. Truly our only issue was getting the pool heated. I contacted Vacasa at the required 7 days or more time, I was billed and told that it would be turned on prior to our stay. When we arrived the pool was freezing. The landscape crew was at the house the next morning. When we asked about it they said the heater was not on and could not be turned on without an order from the rental company. We tried numerous times and could not get a response at the local office but after 4 calls with the national line we finally got a resolution. The pool was finally warm on our last night. I would still pick this house again but with the cold weather we had it was disappointing to not be able to use the pool.

Great location, poor communication w property manager

All in all my family had a great 3 weeks at Flagg Grove. The location can’t be beat for golf/beach/biking/walking/getting in and out of Palmetto. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood that we absolutely loved. The ranch-style home worked great for our family of 4. For anyone planning a trip to Flagg Grove, here are some things we wish we had a heads up about: - No paper or cleaning products (i.e. paper towel, toilet paper, laundry soap, all purpose cleaner, dishwasher detergent, dish/hand soap) - Several light bulbs were out with no replacements - Bed linens could definitely be replaced. We wish we'd brought our own - Lots of towels (face/hand/bath) but no beach towels or tea towels or J cloths for kitchen - Workers came around several times while we were there (landscape and pool), a lot of the times on weekends and while we were around the pool; didn’t feel private On the whole, communication was pretty disappointing with Vacasa South Carolina. If we were just told upfront about these things we would’ve had no problem managing our expectations. Our property manager replied to none of our emails for the duration of our stay. Great house but will be considering another property manager in the future.

Peaceful Retreat

Cute & small house

This is a cute small house in a neighborhood of large houses. It's about a10 minute walk over a pedestrian bridge/canal to the beach access from the house. The pool is small and refreshing. The neighborhood is very bike/walk friendly. Inside of house is clean with laminate floor throughout. Fans in every bedroom. Cons- outside area run down, deck splintered & area needed a good power washing. Awkward to reach the outside area- through side door or master bedroom deck. Master bed extremely elevated and hard to get into- even for a 5'7" person. No fence around property. Nowhere to rinse sandy feet from the beach. A few upgrades would make this house perfection for a smaller group.

Palmetto Dunes

Neighborhood was great, quiet and family-friendly. House met our needs with 4 adults and two small children. Beach is a short walk and the pool was nice to have at the house.. The only negative is that the house could have been cleaner (cobwebs and a backed up sink the cleaning company overlooked) but for a rental property it met our needs. I would definitely recommend and will consider staying here in the future.

Perfect Golf/Beach Retreat

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful home for a week and loved it! We ate dinner out every night, played golf and went to the beach. The beach access is steps away and less than 10 min walk. The 3 Palmetto Dunes golf courses are less than 5 min away by car. The home has a pool which is shaded by trees which causes it to be full of leaves and moss but it was cleaned while we were there! We didn't use it as much as we had hoped. The house is plenty big for multiple families or families with kids of any age. We enjoyed it just the two of us and our small dog. It was awesome!

Great HH stay!

Place was exactly as described, very clean. Location was great, a short walk from the beach and a short drive to restaurants/groceries etc. the community the home is located in was very safe and pretty. The pool is on the smaller size, but you can see that from photos. The water was warm and it was awesome to grill and hang out in. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and appliances. Overall a great place!

Our family had a wonderful week staying at Flagg Grove in Palmetto Dunes! This house is beautifully decorated and spacious. In terms of kitchenware, the kitchen is the most well-stocked we’ve experienced in all the years we’ve rented in HHI!

Great location, very clean property

Beautiful home, quiet location close to everything. 5 minute scenic walk to the beach. House is well equipped and is very clean. Beds are not very comfortable. Only complaint otherwise a great rental for any family.

Exceeded expectations

We loved this home. Bigger than it looks in the photos, immaculately landscaped and cleaned. Big pool, which yes is shaded part of the day but gets great sun in the afternoon. Perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway. 5 minute walk to the beach, right across from a footbridge. The only “negative” is we did encounter a few roaches, so perhaps the exterminator needs to come more frequently. But alas it’s the south in the summer so i wasn’t too upset. :)
