Not as Expected

The pictures must have been taken quite some time ago. The units in Bldg 3 open to the indoor pool. We heard screeching children from 10 am till after 10 pm. I would say its a great place for families but not if you are looking for peaceful getaway. The smell of chlorine is very strong and the noise echoes like a gymnasium. The walk across the marsh to get to the beach is beautiful —but long. Just navigating the buildings to get to the start of the boardwalk takes almost 10 minutes. Then another 15 minutes to the water. But the beach does not disappoint.!

We had a great stay.

Loved the space and large mirrors in all of the rooms. We are a girl family for sure!!! Tons of towels and even beach gear in the closet. Would stay here again for sure!!

Ruined 25th Wedding Anniversary

We drove all the way to the property, checked in per the instructions, went to the unit, just to find out that several units in the "stack" didn't have power and shouldn't have been rented. Contacted the owner who had been made aware of the situation weeks in advance, just for him to act surprised like he didn't know. The property manager had sent over 40+ notices via 2 different forms of contact to make all owners aware. My husband and I were basically homeless!! One of the employees at the check-in gate advised us to contact VRBO to make them aware of the situation. VRBO put us up in a horrible looking Red Roof Inn that seemed to have people living there. There were people arguing, yelling, and cursing outside our door for most of the night and animal hair everywhere. My husband has allergies...I slept in my clothes. The next morning, we had to check in with the property to see if they were going to be done with the repairs and were told they were not, so VRBO put us up in another, and thank God , much better hotel. The property owner would not concede and I forgot to mention, they graciously offered to allow us to stay in the unit, without power, the first night. What the hell??? Anyway, we reluctantly headed home having to pay out of pocket for somewhere to stay on the way back. THIS WAS THE WORSE VRBO OWNER EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! I WOULDN'T STAY AT THEIR PROPERTY FOR FREE. THE only good thing was how quickly we were refunded. Can't leave stars blank, so...

Mostly Good Trip to HHI

Overall, the accommodations were good and property/owner earned 4 out of 5 stars. The Positive - Good Value (room/amenities/locale for cost) - Responsive and Accommodating Owner - Room was nice, clean and as advertised - Allowed for full refund cancelation up to 2 weeks before our trip (didn't use this, obvs) The Negative (why it wasn't 5 starts) - The required insurance for the room was an necessary add-on cost that emerged near the end of the reservation process so it looked like it would cost less than it actually did - The nozzle in the hall bathroom shower was inverted (hot water was actually cold and vice versa) and we didn't know that until we asked about it the day after we arrived - The code for the electronic key needed to be put in twice before it would work (minor inconvenience) - One of the closet doors was broken Overall, it was a good spot and we would go back.

Truly Loved my Experience Here!

This condo was really a gem for me and my family. We spent most of our time in the very spacious central living area, and enjoyed having so much seating. The tennis courts are awesome, and some of them come with pickleball lines too (which we loved). Also spent a bunch of time in the sauna and steam room—very relaxing. Make sure to stop by Coco’s for a drink when you head down to the beach! Overall, a lovely experience and we will be coming back.

Clean and well maintained condo near beach

You could tell the condo complex had some age to it but this room was nicely decorated and supplied. THree beach chairs and a beach cart were available to us in the room which was a good surprise. The walk to the beach was longer than what I was used to but not a problem. Near shops and restaurants (you had to drive). Indoor pool and hot tub was good for our son as the weather had not turned warm enough yet for swimming in the surf. I'd clearly recommend the property.
