We have been vacationing in HHI for 10 years and we love it which is why we keep coming back but this unit was the very worst and will never use Vacasa again. The property is dated and needs updating and general maintenance. Outdoor furniture cushions were tattered, stained and had holes in them. Inside carpets had major stains in the LR and BR. Sinks backed up in kitchen and bathroom. Sewer smells from drain in shower in master bathroom. Bedroom walls had unpainted spackle spots. Bedroom pillows need to be replaced and there needs to be more. Management company was unresponsive to our multiple calls and emails. I feel sorry for the next guests coming in after we left.

All in all a very nice place to stay. The only negative is that there are no beach chairs (though the unit now has some due to us purchasing two) or beach towels. Thanks for the opportunity to stay at your place.

Spacious one bedroom condo with two baths, comfortable king bed and nice living room furniture. Great pool area and great beach access. Enjoyed sitting on deck. Perfect for a couple.

Great view

The bed was extremely uncomfortable! Otherwise, the condo was nice. It had plenty of storage. The view from the balcony was great and it was nice to listen to the waves. It was a convenient location on the island.

Easy checking in and out. Loved the condo and grounds. Was nice to have a heated pool. We have stayed in Palmetto several times but this location was our favorite. Can't wait to return.

Needs Updated!

The carpet needs replaced. There are many stains and it seemed dirty. The bed was uncomfortable with large dips on each side. The location, the view and the complex are very nice and well maintained. We have stayed in many units in Hampton Place over the years and this unit was not up to the usual standards.

Property Showing Its Age

The interaction with Vacasa was very professional and the view from the property was excellent. However, there were some issues with the property that bothered me. Two draws in the bedroom furniture were broken and unusable, the living room screen slider couldn't be opened from inside and I was the only one with the strength to open the glass slider. The seat on one of the dining room chairs was broken. I had to use a pillow to sit on it. Then, there were some parts of the property that were old and dated. The main bath needs an update. You can't even open the shower door without hitting the toilet. The carpet is old, stained and looks like it is original to the property. The living room TV must be very cheap. The picture is fuzzy. In summary, I expected better.

Enjoyed our short stay getting away from the pandemic

We enjoyed our short stay here. The pools and amenities were closed due to the pandemic, but we enjoyed the beach and bike riding. A few things about the property: - Needs a new mattress - the mattress in the master was very uncomfortable. - Not enough cups - there were like 2 cups. - Poor cooking utensils - really cheap kitchen utensils.

Hampton Place #6504

Overall, I really liked this condo. It was spacious, open, decorated very well & has a great view. However, the supply of towels/washcloths and linens was terrible. We received 2 washcloths for our family of 3. We didn’t have any sheets for the pull-out sofa bed that my son was planning to use. We purchased extra washcloths with the intention of doing laundry, but the lint receptacle in the dryer was broken. Lastly, due to my husband & I arriving on the island at different times, we had 2 cars but could only get one parking pass due to ‘plantation rules’. We had to leave one of our cars parked off-property all week. I understand rules but I also think there are situations that should be considered on a case to case basis. Based on the parking lot, I would say most families had one car. It is poor customer service by the rental company, who doesn’t care.

Nice condo for a couple

Good view of the ocean and the amenities in the courtyard. King bed is comfortable and the living area is nice. There is a nice balcony to sit and watch the ocean and the orientation makes it nice both for breakfast and evening there; the sun doesn't hit it directly except at mid day so it's very pleasant. The balcony is also covered with the building roof so you can be there even if it's raining. The beach itself is wide and spacious and not very crowded even in June. We brought our own beach "cabana" shade tent and chairs but they do have the typical umbrellas and chairs for rent. The pool is nice and I liked the adult pool. There is a deck out by the dunes that somewhat secluded and that was a nice touch. We'd stay there again.
