This hotel is great if you like to wake up early to enjoy the full breakfast experience. But if you plan to eat your bf around 09 am or later, look elsewhere since they don't refill/run out of stuff. Otherwise, the breakfast is delicious. The girl who is in "charge" of the bf is great (very service-minded, helpful, and friendly) as well as the guy who helped us with our bags when we arrived late on Sunday, Jan 7 (he is way more service-minded and spoke better English than anyone working in the reception – please promote him). The service level from the rest of the staff was, unfortunately, way under expectations and what we experienced in other hotels in Vietnam. The pool area is great and offers a nice view, we enjoyed it a lot. Not sure if the hotel standard in Saigon is lower than in Hanoi but I wasn't impressed by this hotel. A lot because of the lack of good service (sometimes the staff even felt rude/like they didn't care at all). If you stay in a room with a balcony, like to wake up early, and appreciate a nice pool area this might be a good hotel for you. Otherwise, I don't think I can recommend it in terms of value for money, experience etc.

Trevlig hotell med bra läge.
Hotell med bra läge till marknader och restauranger. Lite liten pool. Frukosten ingen höjdare. Trevligt afternoon rooftop tea. Bra service och trevlig personal. Rummen rena men det rummet vi hade utsikt på ett rostigt tak.

Perfect hotel in the best location in Saigon -HCMC
We had a fantastic experience with this hotel. We stayed twice, first two nights and then after 5 nights in Phu Quoc we returned and stayed another 4 nights. Best thing with this hotel is the staff. They did everything they could to make this stay as comfortable as possible for us. Everyone was so friendly. Rooms are large and clean. Breakfast is wonderful with exotic fruits to omelettes and asian dishes. Pool area is very good with a rather large pool. The hotel is located in the best part of district 1 which is close to many major tourist sights. The massage at the hotel is well priced and again the service was fantastic. We used it a lot. So if in Saigon I really recommend this hotel!

Underbart hotell
Ett underbart hotell i perfekt läge i distrikt 1 där många av de mest kända turistmålen finns. Frukosten är jättebra och har massor av alternativ. Men framför allt är personalen otroligt positiv och hjälpsam. Poolen är bra, gymmet är också bra och massagen som finns i hotellet är bra och till bra pris. Kan verkligen rekommendera det här hotellet!

Fantastiskt hotell
Det finns bara gott att säga om detta hotell! Fantastiskt tillmötesgående personal, underbara sängar och täcke (efter tre veckor i Vietnam med hårda sängar och ”filttäcken”), rymligt rum, mycket fräscht och hotellet har ett fantastiskt läge med gångavstånd till de flesta sevärdheterna i centrum. Pool och servering på taket med fin utsikt över staden. Rekommenderar varmt detta hotell!

Trevligt och fint hotell, med artig och vänlig personal. Bra läge. Hög standard. Poolen på 10:e våningen var skön i värmen. Frukosten var helt till belåtenhet.

Awesome hotel
Amazing hotel with a really nice interior. Cool solution with the shower and the bath. Pool with a with an awesome wiev directly under the tower. Close to everything and still quiet. And we was welcomed with an afternoon tee. It will be my choice next time as well.

The property was lovely very clean and the rooms were spacious close waking distance to everything. The only downside was the staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. They organised a SIM card for me which was great whilst in Ho Chi Minh but did not work anywhere else in Vietnam. They also charged $5usd for a plastic room key they never gave me. Such a shame such a beautiful property is lacking the service it deserves

amazing hotel and staff - my second trip here and it won't be my last. Always made to feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble for the staff clean and well decorated - afternoon tea is always a welcome addition and so nice after a hot afternoon walking around HCM city,

My recent stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. While the location was superb, offering easy access to [city landmarks], the overall experience left something to be desired. Firstly, the staff members were generally average, with the exception of Robert at the front desk. His professionalism, attentiveness, and willingness to assist stood out in contrast to the rest of the team. However, one major disappointment was the breakfast options. The selection was poor and very limited, lacking variety and freshness. For a hotel aiming to provide a satisfying start to the day, this was a significant letdown. Regrettably, based on this experience, I would not choose to stay here again in the future.

The staff is wonderful. We especially found Robert and Tammy to be superstars! Friendly, helpful and efficient. The beds are firm and we loved it. The area around this hotel is very walkable and it is safe. What we didn’t like: The room we stayed in for one night was very noisy (street front) and it had a weird smell (room 202). We asked for another room and was moved to another room.

I would prefer if everything was priced in VND. Pricing in US dollars means I’m paying exchange twice when I pay in CAD on a credit card. Everything was very nice. Breakfast, afternoon tea , etc. Weirdly, toilet paper holder in our room was virtually inaccessible if you were on the toilet. Quite minor but irritating

Au Lac Charner is in a great location with wonderful views. Breakfast was great and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool is a bit small but good enough to cool down after a busy day. Our only complaint would be that there are no handrails to get into the pool and also no hand rails at the entrance to the hotel. Otherwise - perfect!

De ligging is echt super. Naast een van de hoogste toren in HCM en ook op loopafstand van promenade due leidt naar stadhuis. Hotel is heel knus, kamer was prima met een groot bad en douche. Toilet met alle moderne snufjes. Zoals overal in Vietnam zijn de mensen heeeeel lief en vrolijk. Boeken waard helemaal wat ligging betreft

They didn't give me the room I had reserved and paid for, they told me it was full. After arguing for a while, they gave me another cheaper room and refunded me the difference. Very bad experience.

Lovely boutique hotel
Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and very clean. We used the laundry twice and clothes came back the same day. Nice options for breakfast, too. We would stay here again.
