Spectacular in every way!

Absolutely incredible, surrounded by natural beauty, welcomed into a stunning home, treated like family. This was a very special place that we will never forget. If you are in the area, you must experience this location. Food was delicious, equal to a fine dining restaurant. The staff were so kind!

The views from umVangati House were breathtaking, each dish was delectable, the staff and owners were so friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable and felt very safe. I could not recommend this place more highly. It was the highlight of my trip.

The Most Perfect Romantic Getaway

WOW!! From the second you arrive, to the moment you leave you are treated like royalty. This family run business in the mountains is the perfect getaway. All the family members are extremely friendly, professional and have a great knowledge of the house and the surrounding area. They also have a watering hole, to which someone will notify you when animals are there. As we traveled for our honeymoon, we decided to upgrade to a suite, and we were not disappointed. The views from the room were mind-blowing. The room itself had maybe the comfiest bed I have ever slept in, great amenities provided, as well as pool towels for the pool at the main house. In the main house, the infinity edge swimming pool has the most insane view of the mountains. You can choose to have your meals inside, outside, next to a fire pit or treat yourself and eat in the wine room. Unfortunately, im not a wine drinker, but the wine room was amazing. I genuinely cant say enough about how amazing this place is. The local area has lots of great activities, we visited Jessica The Hippo and a Hot Air Balloon ride both of which I highly recommend. If you are thinking of a trip then this is the place to stay, I promise it wont disappoint. The only thing I would mention is the long driveway, Id highly recommend a higher car, but we did manage in our saloon car. On the drive up we saw giraffe, so please stick to the speed limit, as they come out of nowhere. To sum it up, the best place I have ever stayed.

Unbelievable stay in a familairy atmosphere with great food. Lidia und Giel are amazing.The view is just impressive. It is also possible to see some wild animals at the water hole. For me it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Thank you so much for the great stay! We hope we'll come back one day.

Incredible Views and Amazing Hosts

This place is INCREDIBLE. The hosts are the nicest people. The views are even nicer than the photos make it look, and the same with the actual place There's a huge open area in the main house and two decks. Then the rooms also have incredible views. We had dinner each night and breakfast each day and all the meals were great and very filling! Would highly recommend coming out here and seeing Blyde River Canyon and enjoying this incredible home.

Amazing stay!

We had a great stay at the umVangati House. We were very well welcomed and amazed by the location and view from the house. Everything is organised to make sure you'll have an enjoyable stay. We will definitely come back. We chose to have diner at the house and would definitely recommend it, food was great!

A Perfect Spot to Relax and Unwind.

I’m truly lost for words to describe how beautiful this place is. It’s like a stunning Bel Air Mansion where, instead of Hollywood neighbours, you’re more likely to see a troop of noisy baboons or a herd of Zebra at the house’s very own watering hole a couple of hundred metres away. You MUST order Lidia’s evening meal (because it’s delicious) and try some of Giel’s Wine (because he has a gorgeous wine cellar under the main house). Try to stay two or three nights and you’ll have the most relaxing time.

Excelente opção próxima ao Blyde River

Recebemos um welcome drink na entrada (cortesia) . Os proprietários e a gerência são muito gentis. Os quartos são ultra confortáveis, silenciosos e com mimos exclusivos. Recomendo jantar no hotel pois é 20km da cidade , e conta com um menu completo (entrada, prato principal, e sobremesa ) por cerca de 440 rands por pessoa . Enfim valeu demais !!! O café da manhã e cortesia e foi o melhor que tivemos na viagem ( sendo que fiquei em diversos 5 estrela ) Nota 10!!!!

Lugar excepcional!

Melhor hotel que ficamos na Africa do Sul. Quartos confortáveis, proprietários simpáticos e com certeza a melhor comida que experimentamos na Africa do Sul. A vista para Blyde River Canyon é simplesmente fantástica. E possível ver animais bebendo água a partir do deck do hotel. As áreas comuns são lindas, incluindo uma piscina com vista fantástica. Vale muito a pena!

Casa de cinema no meio dos canyons

Ótimo atendimento, você é sempre bem tratado pelos donos do umVangati. A casa é coisa de cinema...linda, moderna, muito bem decorada, com um vista impressionante!! Ficamos hospedados no quarto casal luxo (suíte 1), o quarto é enorme, moderno e com varanda. A banheira e o chuveiro tem vista para os canyons (muito bonito). Solicitamos o jantar para noite que passamos lá, o mesmo foi preparado pela dona do umVangati, que estava saborosíssimo!! Os únicos arrependimentos foram não ter ficado hospedado mais uma noite e ter feito o tour pelos canyons.

Exotisch Luxuriöse Unterkunft

Das umVangati House ist etwas spezielles in jeder Beziehung. Die Lage ist exponiert. Die Architektur und Ausstattung Luxuriös. Ganz liebevolle Gastgeber mit sehr persönlichem aber immer passendem Kontakt. Das Essen wird von der Hausherrin persönlich zubereitet und ist unglaublich gut. Selbst für mich als Vegetarier hat sie etwas gezaubert, was mit Abstand das beste Essen war, was ich im Urlaub in Südafrika bekommen habe. Das ganze hat seinen Preis, ist aber für die Leistung die man erhält jedenfalls angemessen.
