Vida Mejor--Poolside (Private Pool)

Vida Mejor Poolside is a 2 bedroom townhouse style private salt water pool accomodation in Jamestown Park Holetown within a 3-5 minute walking distance to the beach, to Limegrove mall, to many restaurants, bars, two fantastic grocery stores, banks etc. 1 st and 2nd street Holetown has many restaurants and bars and is in a 5 minute walking distance. The area is safe and is frequented by the green monkey. This is our coolest Villa, a nice tropical pool submerged beautiful tropical gardens comprise of purple patria, white star jasmine, green and purple leahs, christmas Palms, angelicas etc. Add humming birds, fresh spinach and aloe vera and you understand true serenity with natures best.

Only downside was a neighbour watching TV loudly , but if you like re runs of Vera, then great!

We always try and book one of these villas, they have everything you need, Carlton the manager and Peggy the housekeeper go out of their way to make sure your stay is fantastic!

Wonderful villa , well kept and comfortable.

Great villa, nice size for a family and very well maintained grounds, great view and pool. The inside is quite large and very accommodating, filled with extras, like books, games....The owner was outstanding, and very helpful. I will surely go back

This was our first holiday in Barbados. Our party was four people and we all really enjoyed our stay at Lascelles. Carlton was super host and couldn't have been more helpful. East Pool Villa was perfect for our needs. very quite clean and spacious.

Great location...near beach, shops,resturants...villa layout very nice and spacious. Property manager very friendly and readily available. Some updates needed (larger beds in all rooms, shower faucets, air conditioning noise and cooking pots/utensils, housekeeper duties). Would definitely stay there again

A real home from home. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable. It is set in a residential area and very quiet and peaceful. Carlton ,Trisha and Peggy were very friendly and helpful. Car hire is also available at the villa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

What a fantastic Villa, great location and well looked after by Carlton and his team.

We have just come back from Barbados where we have had a fantastic stay at West Pool. We have been going to Barbados for several years,but have only just discovered Carlton,his team and his great Villas.We will definitely be going back, we have all loved it! Great location and fantastic for us with our 8 year old daughter,she loved the pool. Easy access to Holetown on foot,so whilst we hired a car,we didn't really need one.

Best Barbados trip ever!!

Carlton made our Barbados holiday a trip of a life time. He was there to meet us at the door with a grand tour of his Waterfall Villa and there when it was our last minute on the island. He also provided us with a rent a car at a value and was there to answer any questions we had about the island. Our accomadations were the best and we would recommend them to anyone! With in walking distance to the town for shopping, dinning and the beach for swimming or relaxing. I would recommend The Waterfall Villa to anybody who wants a beautifully up graded accommodations at a value.

Paridise in Barbados

Another fantastic holiday at Vida Mejor Villa

We had another fantastic time in Carlton's villas. We had both the West and East pool villas. It was perfect for a family of 10. The villas are very spacious and accommodated us perfectly. Both are very well maintained and in immaculate condition. They are situated in a quiet neighbourhood, but very hand for the beach, supermarket, bars and restaurants in Holetown. A fantastic villa in a perfect location, literally home from home and a lot more.

We have just returned from two weeks in the East Pool Villa. The villa has everything you could possible need, it is in a very central location with just minutes walk from Hometown and a variety of restaurants. Venture out a bit further north and discover De Outback restaurant for a taste of real Barbados. And Carlton. thank you for everything it was like staying with a very good friend. Beautiful beaches, endless sunshine and Carlton keep thinking about how to package that sunshine - I'm sure it will sell. ;-)

Perfect Holiday

Carlton, First of all our holiday in Barbados at Vida Mejor was Perfect! The Best Ever! We have been travelling south for 23 years and this Tops them all! Your Villas are emmaculate, clean, spacious, well located -just far enough from the beach to make you walk three minutes per day. The ammenties near by speak for themselves - the grocery store, gas station, bank, post office, and fabluous restaurants, shops etc. We have already booked in for two weeks next year and we are counting the days already. Paradise in Paradise!

This is the 3rd time I have stayed in one of Carlton's houses (Feb. 2005, Feb. 2006, Feb. 2008) and have to say that not only are the properties beautiful and well-maintained; Carlton is also a very pleasant and attentive landlord and makes sure that his guests are happy in his houses. If there is an item a guest feels would make the house more comfortable (like kitchen utensils, CD player, etc) he makes sure that it is provided. It is wonderful to be in a place like Barbados and have the comforts of home to really relax. It is also great not to have to go out for every meal; the well-equipped kitchen is great for preparing meals and the shopping centre is just a short walk away. I will gladly go back, any time.

My partner and I, with my two daughter aged 16 and 18 visited in July 2008. The villa is wonderful, clean, spacious with everything you need- particularly computer with internet access which the girls loved to keep in contact with friends! Road is very quiet and just a short walk from Holetown and a lovely beach near The Colony Club.It was great to watch the monkeys in the mango tree, have hummingbirds visit the patio. The bus trips are epic, girls loved the yellow reggae buses, but we also hired a car for few days. Make sure you do the Island Safari, Harbour Lights, Oistins fish fry and mostly-Tiami trip. Our favourite restaurant was Champers at ChristChurch, Tides in Holetown is a special one too. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming-Its my second visit to Barbados and it just gets better and better and this is a lovely place to stay

Hi Carlton, arrived home safely a few hours ago. Very tired but holding lots of fabulous memories. Your villa was outstanding and perfect in every way. We desperately want to return next year so we will have to do some money calculations and get back to you. Thankyou for the hospitality shown from yourself and your family. It was second to none. Relax in Paradise

Hi Carlton, We talked about how our days are stressful when you are growing a business and a practice at the same time. My wife Tana and I sought a vacation where we could just relax, away from tourist venues but close to cafe's, and clubs. A place we could stay and streach out by the pool or walk to the beach for an afternoon swim. So we spent a week at your villa doing just that. We enjoyed the food and entertainment within a few short blocks of our vacation home and we enjoyed rising in the morning to a cup of coffee, a short dip in the pool and reading a book on the patio. Your location provided us just the right amount of relaxation and excitment. The people of Barbadoes are friendly, always smiling and greeting you on the street with a pleasant hello. We felt right at home at your lovely villa. We have pictues of the humming birds in our vacation album! We will be back. John and Tana

West Pool Villa

Hi Carlton, Just wanted to thank you again for a fantastic and relaxing holiday 14 FEB - 01 MAR 2009. The villa, pool and tropical gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Our host, Carlton, was always available and looked after any arrangements we might desire including dinner reservations, catamaran cruising and local sight seeing. The villa is very modern and has every possible convenience you could imagine. The house keeper, Mary, was very thorough and friendly to talk to. The villa is as described. Within a short 4 minute walk to the beach and within a 10 minute walk to the centre of town where you will find everything you might require. There is no need for a car. There are some great restaurants, beach view, within a short walk. The villa setting is very private and quiet. Again, Carlton looked after all are needs. He was just great! All and all, a fantastic vacation and location. We highly recommend it and would certainly return in the future. Kind regards Mar & Bruce

Our stay out Vida Mejor - Waterfall

My wife and I have 4 children under the age of 9 and we can safely say that this villa was absolutely perfect. Not only was the villa well maintained, clean and with all the facilities you would expect in a hotel, Carlton, the owner and manager is a smashing fellow and certainly ensures that your needs are more than catered for. He is the epitome of world class customer service and nothing was too much trouble for him. In fact we couldn't find a 7 seater vehicle to rent on the island and Carlton not only bought one, the car was excellent and suited our family needs. The Villa is located close to the local beech in Holetown in a very safe and friendly neighbourhood, there's a shopping mall about 10 minutes slow walk away and Carlton can put you in touch with the people who run the amenities at the beech. I can safely say it's a home from home and I knew it would be excellent as my relatives who live in Barbados have used the villa when they have a staycation. We would definitely recommend this villa to any friend or relative. Chris and Katie Cummins.

Gute Lage und Ausstattung, sauber, gepflegt; freundlicher Vermieter

Die Buchung, Konversation und Bezahlung erfolgte komplett über das FeWo-direkt Portal. Das empfanden wir als sehr angenehm und sicher, da ja der gesamte Mietpreis vor der Reise überwiesen werden muss. Vom Vermieter haben wir auch das Auto gemietet (holetown cars). Das Angebot war besser als alle anderen Anbieter, wir wurden vom Flughafen abgeholt und das Auto hat er uns am Morgen des ersten Tages zum Haus gebracht. Bequemer und günstiger geht es nicht. Außerdem hat man nur einen (sehr freundlichen!) Ansprechpartner. Das Haus selbst ist sehr großzügig geschnitten, gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Alle drei Tage wird geputzt, Garten und Pool werden täglich in Ordnung gehalten. Das Haus verfügt über eine Alarmanlage und ein elektronisches Schließsystem. So muss man keine Schlüssel mitnehmen, wenn man z.B. zum Strand will. Bis zum Strand läuft man 5 bis 10 Minuten. Der Strand selbst war im August menschenleer. Die Korallenriffe direkt am Strand sind zum Schnorcheln OK. Man sieht sehr viele Fische und verschiedene Korallenarten. Carlton - der Vermieter - ist sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Er erklärt alles sehr ausführlich und beantwortet Fragen sehr hilfreich. Das Haus liegt ruhig in einer Nebenstraße (Sackgasse), aber auch zentral. In 5-10 Minuten ist man im Supermarkt und kleinen shopping malls. Natürlich gibt es auch jede Menge Restaurants im Umfeld. Direkt an der Straße werden Früchte und junge Kokosnüsse verkauft und gegenüber ist (falls man es braucht) direkt ein Arzt (man geht auf dem Weg zum Strand an der Praxis vorbei). Gebraucht haben wir ihn nicht, aber es war schon beruhigend. Apotheken gibt es in jedem Supermarkt. Autofahren auf Barbados ist - abgesehen vom Linksverkehr und der ungewohnten Automatik statt Schaltung - sehr entspannt. Die Menschen sind freundlich und zuvorkommend, was sich auch im Fahrstil niederschlägt. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in dem Haus, haben insbesondere das warme Wasser im Pool genossen (4-6 feet tief) und dank der drei Klimaanlagen (zwei Schlafzimmer plus Wohnzimmer) nachts gut geschlafen. Die Matratzen sind übrigens sehr gut. Wlan funktionierte perfekt, für lokale Anrufe konnten wir das Haustelefon nutzen. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, dass die Unterkunft sehr empfehlenswert ist.

Villa Vida Mejor January 2012

This was our second year staying in Villa 2 and it was another fabulous trip. We stayed 5 adults in the villa (Peggy set-up a fold-out bed at the back of the dining room) and never felt crowded. The Villa is private so you feel like you are in your own paradise. It was clean and exactly as pictured. It is also well located, walking distance to the grocery store, beach, shopping and restaurants. We have never had to rent a car (although if you do a large grocery on your arrival you will want a taxi to get the bags back). If we wanted to visit other beaches or go to Bridgetown or the Gap we simply took the bus (buses run every few minutes). We did take a tour of the island so made arrangements through Carlton (Villa Owner) for a private tour. He referred us to Quami who took us anywhere we wanted to go at a reasonable rate (8 person van with airconditiong). He was very entertaining and gave us a lot of history of the Island while we drove around. Stuff you never think to ask but interesting to know. He made the trip a lot of fun. I would recommend him any time and we will be asking for him again next year because we have so much more to see! Some "tips". If you are at a beach with restaurants (on the beach), you don't need to buy your beer or food at one of those restaurants. Often close buy there is a small beer stand that sells the same exact beer for half the price. The person in the beer stand will often be able to recommend a local restaurant (hidden but close by) where you can get real Bajan cooking at a good price. Sunday nights in Holetown you should go to Surfside to listen to the steel drums. If after your third Rum Punch you can still stand up, you can go to the main street to listen to the Karaoke. For groceries, yes they can be expensive but buy local fruits and vegetables as much as possible (tastier and cheaper). There are also many details from the trip that made it special (chatting with Carlton or Peggy, the hummingbirds, the weather, etc...) that it is hard to cover them all but I did want to mention something extra special. Carlton & Peggy knew it was my birthday. They spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I would really like and wanted to be sure it was something that would always remind me of Barbados. They picked exactly right. Even if Barbados, Holetown and the Villa were not perfect (which is NOT the case) that guesture alone means I will be going back for a 3rd consecutive year.

A wonderful villa in a perfect location, run by a great host!

We stayed at Vida Mejor East Pool for 9 days in March of 2022. Our reason for this pick was a combination of the pool, clean looking villa, ability to have 2 master bedrooms and location in holetown. To say we were happy with our choice is an understatement! We were welcomed warmly by Carlton and Peggy, who had the villa ready for us well before our arrival. Carlton was communicative, prompt and courteous from the moment of booking through the finialization of our stay. The villa is clean and air conditioned throughout, which was a very pleasant surprise. The pool was clean and well maintained, along with the seating area outside, which we used every day. Having on site laundry facilities and a fully stocked kitchen made the stay so easy. There is a fantastic supermarket and gas station within 3-5 minutes of walking from the villa. Also within 3-5 minutes are PLENTY of amazing restaurants, bars and luxury retail shopping. The beaches are also 3 minutes of walking away and are in my opinion some of the best on the island. I definitely suggest going to Zaccios for dinner and sundowners while having a swim. Carlton and his team also provide car rentals, which we rented a very convenient hybrid hatchback that sipped gas and allowed us to tour the island. Carlton, Thank you and your team for everything, you guys provide a wonderful experience and we can not wait to return to Vida Mejor!!

Great villa in an idyllic location

I’ve just returned from Barbados where I stayed at this villa for the 1st time, and it certainly won’t be my last! My family decided to spend our Christmas holiday on the west coast and were fortunate enough to have found this villa. We absolutely enjoyed our stay there. Carlton was amazing all the way through from initial contact to checking out. His communication was excellent, as well as his advice. We stayed in East Pool Villa (1 of 4 villas). We found it to be very comfortable, spacious and perfect for a family. The villa had everything needed for a holiday and did not disappoint. The location was excellent. 5-minute walk to a beautiful beach, major supermarket, restaurants and bars and Limegrove Mall. Although we hired a car through Carlton (Holetown Car Rental), everything is so close that you could easily get by without one. Zaccios, Jus Grillin and Sea Cat were our nearby favourite restaurants! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in East Pool Villa and look forward to returning again later in 2022. Thanks again Carlton for everything!!!

Beautiful villa

It’s in a perfect location close to beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The bus stop is just around the corner. Beautiful birds in the garden and the occasional visit from the monkeys. Carlton was very helpful and we look forward to going back. Thank you Carlton, Peggy and Sarina for everything.

great location close to shops and restaurants will stay there again thanks for a lovely stay.
