Loved the room. Food excellent and hot. Only thing we didn't like was no lift..Next time we will get a lower ground floor room. We had the D luxe room brilliant..But three staircases up.not good if you are O A P...we will be back..thanks

The old bridge is a lovely place to stay. Very central. Tge staff was very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Although i did find the bar man a bit rude. The food was amazingly especially the breakfast. Our room was small but compact and nice

Very helpful, smiley staff easy 3pm check in. Ideal central location to all the shops. Rooms very comfortable and warm, however little small, but did not spoil the experience. Room 15 over looking the river waterfall, quite noisy when window open, but actually very therapeutic. Did not try the bar or restaurant, but looks lovely. We dined at a very chick hipster restaurant called NOWHERE around the corner. WOW highly recommend. Not much on the internet as its new, but the food exceptional sort of British tapas style with a posh edge, not expensive and the wine/beers beautiful. The hotel accomodated us with a bath which was quite large considering the space and was utilised with a local bath bomb purchased from one of the many cute local shops. Our room 15 had a view of Sids Cafe opposite. The bed was very comfy and we both had a good sleep. Our room was dog friendly and had no dogginess about it apart from traces in slightly more awkward places to clean for instance behind the bathroom door the floor was dirty with dog hairs but nothing concerning. Plenty of lovely soft towels and bathroom condiments in full size and smell beautiful. These can be purchased to take home. Staircase wide and normal tread height. Parking is limited but we managed a space. The entrance to the property is a little concealed it feels like you shouldnt be driving down it, poor signage! Cant comment on breakfast however expect it to be lovely just like the property. Highly recommend.

Great centre of town location, reasonably priced, nice restaurant with bar. Staff where very helpfull and polite. Accommodation was warm and adequate but a bit dated (artex walls MFI furniture and ageing bathroom).

Cosy warm, clean room and comfortable bed. Excellent dining and bar facilities. Lovely food and helpful staff. Easy parking. Centre of town so easy walking and surrounded by some excellent Yorkshire countryside for anyone wanting wonderful scenic views and a good ramble.

Excellent location for us the big downfall was the shower they are really small and if your above a size 12 you may struggle to get through the doors really disappointed for a hotel that seems to have high standards and costs

We came by public transport ( pensioners bus pass ). Hotel is right behind the bus station. Staff were very welcoming . We sat straight down and enjoyed a three course sunday lunch. The hotel is convenient for town centre. Room had everything we needed for our comfortable overnight stay.

We were house hunting in the area & stayed one night at the hotel. From the minute we walked into reception, we were impressed how warm and friendly the team were, with a special shout out to Tate & Hollie who made sure that not only did we receive a lovely welcome, but then also took care of us during our dinner (which was fabulous!) as well. After a stroll around the town, we settled in the bar before dinner. And again, were delighted how friendly the bar team were... and it was great when they were able to seat us early for dinner, despite being rushed off their feet. Our room (18), whilst a little small, was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a brief stay. We would definitely stay there again, and if we're lucky to move to Holmfirth, we would also recommend it to any visitors who couldn't fit in the house!! :-) *Tate / Hollie, no news yet but we're keeping our fingers crossed!

Property ideally located in the centre of Holmfirth, great to explore the town and local bars and the picturedrome. Clean rooms , staff friendly. We were in a double room situated at the rear of the property . Only thing that could be improved on would be better windows as the are not double glazed and the noise from the outside bars was extremely loud so didnt have a good night's sleep.

Great stay in Holmfirth!!
Fantastic break. Staff super friendly. Room was great. Food was hot and of great quality. Wife said it was the best vegetarian breakfast she had ever had!!!! Holmfirth a really nice place to stay - look forward to returning soon!!

Not a nice stay
The carpet in my room was very dirty and needed to be replaced. I wasnt able to park my car on site on one of the nights due to them holding some food festival in the car park... i wasnt told about this and had a long walk to put bags in my car when i left.... clearly profit comes first and customer care comes last

1.Receptionist curtly said “Check-in is at 3” & turned her back on us when we arrived early 2.Ordered sandwiches at the bar. Told there was an hour wait for food. 4.My cheese & pickle sandwich, had dry, stale bread, commercially shredded cheese & tortilla chips were stale. My husband also had stale tortilla chips. Returned my sandwich & asked for my money back, the staff were unsure how to give a refund. 5.At 2:50 my husband went to reception desk & was told “Oh the rooms have been ready for ages”. 6.We went up to room #17 to find the door wouldn't open halfway as it hit the bed. Had to turn sideways to enter room. 7.The shower cubicle was about 2-foot square, no ventilation & there was black mould in sealant & on ceiling. 2 towels were threadbare & frayed. 8.We complained at reception & was told that there were no other rooms available. This room was a health hazard. In an emergency, it's not possible to get out in a hurry due to the restricted door opening. 9.In the evening we ate in the restaurant-fish & chips – me the small portion and my husband the large. I doubt there was 4oz & 7oz respectively. 10.We ordered eggs and bacon and Eggs Royale for breakfast. Back bacon was brown and impossible to cut. Poached eggs were undercooked. Sent them back and they came back the same. 11. At check-out, I repeated my complaints. The woman said she was refunding my money to my card and took my card to do so. That was on the 7th. As of today (14th) no refund.
