Stroll to Selbrigg pond, just a stones throw from the cottage, and enjoy the vast array of wildlife on our doorstep including a breeding pair of mute swans, kingfishers, herons and dragonflies galore. There are various walks directly from the cottage door, with little or no need to use roads. The property is approximately 3 miles from the sea. Norfolk is well known for it's big open skies, a must for astronomers throughout the year, easily seen from your patio! Alternatively take a steam train from Holt Station to Weybourne and Sheringham. Visit the coastal villages of Morston and Blakeney from where you can take a boat to see the seals at Blakeney Point; or drop in at Cromer, famous for the Cromer crab, and it’s End of the Pier Show. Attractions further afield include Sandringham House; The Muckleburgh Collection; Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and the National Trust properties at Sheringham Park, Felbrigg and Blickling.
