  • Mysig stuga mindre än ett kvarter från sjön med tillgång till delad brygga. En perfekt plats för pooch eftersom den har en inhägnad bakgård (med picknickbord) och backar upp till Blackwood Canyon och hundratals tunnland National Forest mark! Stor främre däck med avkopplande topp-of-the-sjöutsikten i sommaren, gas och kol BBQs.
    Detta hem är en nivå, landet inredning, öppet kök / vardagsrum planlösning med stora bildrutor och utsikt över sjön från den vackra nya främre däck. Matbord för 8, avrundad L-soffa, vedeldad vedspis, CD / kassettspelare, ny HDTV !! VHS / DVD, och dörr ut baksidan från tvättstuga utanför köket.
    1: a sovrummet har ny drottning säng och armoir; 2: a rummet har 2 tvillingar i form av en rulla säng och liten flatscreen TV; 3/4 bad (dusch bara, ingen badkar) i hall och 3: e sovrummet har ny drottning säng och privat 3/4 bad.
    Nära till Tahoe City, men också en bra gateway för backcountry vandring, cykling och skidåkning! Sunnyside är bara 2 miles norr och Homewood är 2 miles söderut, så att komma till matsal och rekreationsalternativ är enkelt.

Loved This Cabin!

We had a wonderful stay in this cabin. It was very comfortable and cozy. Kitchen was well equipped and loved the wood stove with glass front. Perfect for our family. Would really enjoy staying here again.

The home was adequate. The bathrooms were nicely remodeled but the home has a musty smell. Two of the deck chairs were broken and unusable. The home was hot and does not have air conditioning. The outside deck area had trash from the previous tenant—water bottles, tissues, etc.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great spot within walking distance to Lake Tahoe. The fireplace was amazing and fully stocked woodshed. The house was roomy with 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. The bedding was warm and comfortable. Kitchen had everything you could need and the house was clean. Love that house was dog friendly with a big fenced in backyard. Was a great spot for a family stay. Beautiful view of Lake Tahoe from the living room window. Relaxing setting.

Snow Play

Holland House is a darling, well stocked Tahoe cabin. We were snowed in for a day and a half and didn’t mind. Lots of games to play a cozy fire and tv. We were able to get to our snow covered street and play with our dog and meet other neighbors! Considered sledding down the street, but the snowplow got there first! What more could you want! Thanks

Cute place, could be great with a few small tweaks

We enjoyed our stay, and the location was nice. The pros were how large the kitchen area was, the dining room table was nice and big, and the place was decorated in a cute cabin/tahoe style. The downside of this location is that there are few drapes/curtains and all of the doors are off, so you can't really close them/they all stick very badly. My Mother in law thought she was trapped in the bathroom and had to yell to get someone to help her open it. We had to leave the doors partially open moving forward, which worked, but felt odd. As for curtains, the bedrooms had blinds, but other than that only the large amount of snow provided us privacy, which was a bummer.

Great Tahoe West Shore Family Cabin

We had a great three-week stay at the Holland house. Skyland is quiet and secluded yet walking distance to the pier, the lakeshore path, as well as hiking trails up to Chris Crag or south to Blackwood Creek and Eagle Rock. The cabin is older but comfortable with nice views out to the lake from the living room, two of the bedrooms and from the large deck. Beds were comfortable and the recently remodeled bathrooms had nice make-up mirrors and ample storage. The kitchen had everything you need for a sit down dinner for 8 or a deck party for 30: two coffee makers, a blender, coffee grinder, small mixer, plenty of bowls, gadgets and utensils, baking pans, cookie sheets, two stock pots, cast iron skillets, covered skillets and saucepans and a large gas grill. The washer and dryer were large capacity. The place was very clean but there were also some cleaning supplies, brooms and a good vacuum cleaner for our use. We did not have our grandchildren with us, but we would have been comfortable letting them out on their own to play outside in the long driveway or back in the fenced backyard. This said, I did not see any highchairs, pack-n-plays, children’s books or games or extra towels for soggy kids or doggy paws. We found the Holland house through VRBO, but we were happy to see that it was managed by Hauserman. In Tahoe City for almost 60 years, they truly know the West Shore and have several other rentals in Skyland; you could line up several for an extended family reunion!

However, as I described to Matthew on the 2nd of July, the family room/kitchen are very close to being uninhabitable. All 5 of us experienced coughing, sneezing and an alergic reaction to extreme dust that we felt was coming from the very old, very dirty wall to wall carpeting. I would hope that this carpeting would be replaced prior to this cabin being rented again - by anyone - especially as the winter approaches.

Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the Holland property from a Monday through a Thursday in February 2024, with my wife, my son, my daughter and her husband, and our dog. The property is very comfortable, it is well stocked, it had everything we needed and everything in the house worked well. The driveway was cleared off during the snow, the walkway was cleared, and it was stocked with bags of sidewalk salt. At the same time, it is not too fancy so that we did not have to worry about anything and we felt at home. We will be looking for this property the next time we visit Lake Tahoe.

Has a beautiful deck in front which we would enjoy in warmer weather. We had some trouble with the tv, which may have been our inadequacy. I called and they sent someone out who fixed the problem. Cozy, rustic, beautiful view!

Not super fancy but comfortable and cozy for our purposes: day hikes, walking to the lake, hanging out and cooking w the family and friends. Great places to sit and read inside and out. If you have a hammock, bring it for the backyard.
