“Firstly, I didn’t make use of the ‘amenities’. I was visiting parents who had moved house so this was literally a place to rest my head. That being said, the restaurant staff were lovely as I arrived late when l they were finishing shift so helped me find keys and get in. The room was decent - comfortable bed, shower and separate toilet. The only gripe I had was that the toilet light was on a timer so when cleaning teeth/washing face etc light would go off after 15s or so. Would definitely...

“Short but sweet stay - room was excellent , dog loved it. Evening meal was a pleasant surprise - really well cooked and not ping food - Paella was excellent.”

“Really good food and service. The rooms are old and the cleaning before I got my room wasn’t the best. Try to stay at the second floor so you don’t have to listen to your upstairs neighbors all night. ”

“We stayed for 1 night on our way to a MSV trackday at Donnington Park. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the River Trent. The location was great. Parking was fine and overall a pleasant stay. We chose to eat in the restaurant - unfortunately too few staff meant service was not great. The Sunday roast was ok but also not great. ”

“The hotel is fabulous, the staff are incredibly friendly and the rooms are clean and luxurious. The only thing that could be improved is to fit air conditioning in the rooms. At night the room became quite stuffy and it's not possible to open patio doors at night. Apart from that - amazing”

“The pictures on Expedia doesn't do the place justice. Its a little hidden gem. With live entertainment with good food and drinks. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean but basic. Happy to stay there again. ”

“Sadly, we stayed on the wrong day. We arrived after a six hour drive to find out there was an eighties night on in the marquee about 20 steps from our room. It went on until after midnight. The music I could have coped with but the Dj and accompanying karaoke sounded like they were in our room, completely unnecessarily. Then the guests were in and out of the front entrance door next to our room until 4am. Not exactly the restful night I hoped for especially for our six hour drive the following...

“Room was top floor and quite stuffy. As it’s a listed building, windows were very old and the outside noise was quite loud.”
