Fitte Huck—that’s the name of this newly built (end) unit in Hörnum, completed in 2023, located on a quiet street in the immediate vicinity of the harbor and shopping options—including the well-known Lund Bakery. In Low German, “Huck” refers to a small, cozy cottage—and “fit” suggests that the owners enjoy combining fitness with relaxation. The beaches are close by and easily accessible on foot—the wild West Beach for long walks and the quiet East Beach, which is especially suitable for little ones. The “Budersand” golf course is also within easy walking distance, even with a golf bag. If you don’t feel like cooking, you’ll find a variety of restaurants within walking distance—from the cozy pub serving Sylt mussels to the beachside restaurant “Landfein” in the dunes and the Michelin-starred KAI3 at the Hotel Budersand.

On the first floor, you’ll find a living room with a gas fireplace, a TV with a Bluetooth soundbar, an open kitchen, and an adjoining dining area. A cozy dining table for 4 people can be extended when guests come over. You can then treat them to a hospitable meal, complete with wine from the wine cooler. Speaking of fitness: There are also a few cookbooks available with ideas for healthy cooking—after all, a vacation is the perfect time to try new things.

On the sunny, south-facing terrace, sheltered from the wind, there is also a table for 6 people. In the summer (approx. April–October), a beach chair invites you to relax. For the little ones, the lawn in the garden offers space to play or set up an inflatable wading pool. Older adventurers can let off steam at the nearby playground.

The guest restroom is also located on the first floor.


Sports enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy in the basement. A Schwinn exercise bike and a set of Technogym dumbbells await you! (For the experts: Zwift and other online training programs for watt-based training can be used.) The bathroom with a shower and sauna—complete with a Kneipp hose and a waterfall shower—is right next door—just as you’d expect in a “vacation gym”! Furthermore, your “multifunction room” features two single beds (90x200 cm) for resting, which—on casters—can also be pushed together to form a cozy double bed.

The bedroom on the upper floor is furnished with a Schramm spring-core double bed (180x200 cm) for a restful night’s sleep. Another bathroom with a shower and toilet is located right next door.

The attic is the “little ones’” domain. Here you’ll find two single beds (90x200 cm), which are ideal for children—but of course not just for them! Adults will find a quiet retreat here, away from the hustle and bustle of the lower floors.
