We enjoyed our time at Lake Hamilton. The house had great amenities and features. Unfortunately, we felt the house could have used a better clean and some additional updates/attention to details.

Everything we were looking for

This place was wonderful. Amazing views and close to the Gardens. Perfect place to stay if you want to do all things nature. Nothing soothes the soul like a firepit and some music down by the water. We will absolutely be staying here again!

Great Property With Lovely Views!

My husband and I booked this property because it offered all of the amenities we were looking for, has great views of Lake Hamilton, is close in proximity to a variety of hiking trails, and is close to Hot Springs where we went several times for tasty food and good music. All-in-all this is a wonderful property and we had a great time doing all of the above activities and visiting the beautiful botanical gardens that are literally right across the lake from this property. The house offers lots of relaxing elements, particularly the beautiful deck overlooking the lake, but we also had access to stores, restaurants, hiking, music, etc., that were all just a short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Birthday Weekend on Hamilton

Very much enjoyed our stay at Lake Hamilton. The upper-deck patio was by far the star of the show. Great place to hangout and enjoy the lake, play games, drink coffee, eat meals - rain or shine! Loved how everyone could have their own bed and be comfortable, the house was very charming, and it was nice being able to take our paddle boards out on the lake from the house. We went into town one evening for dinner and Hot Springs was a quick <20 minute drive. Overall, we loved it!

Wonderful Lake Time

We really enjoyed staying here! The home has 3 levels and we enjoyed each one of them equally. The bottom level is set up for ping pong, ball game watching, and has a kitchen. This was probably our favorite area of the home, and my son finally beat me at ping pong. :) We LOVED the kayaks. The local university has a garden very close to the property, I highly recommend going!

Relaxing in Hot Springs

Nice Lakefront Cabin

We went over Thanksgiving and unfortunately the weather was rainy and cold. That made the lack of an indoor dining table stand out. Fortunately we held Thanksgiving at my sister's house in Little Rock. But with seven of us and a lack of an sort of dining table at other meals it was doable but not great. However, the views from the living room window are great. The patio was great when the weather behaved. I would believe it would be an excellent warm weather place as the water was right out the back door. We enjoyed the downstairs living area and the ping pong table. The master bed was very comfortable. I assume the others were as well as I got no complaints.

Excellent Fall weekend

This property is a must stay! The house is darling - full stocked, tastefully decorated, and has beautiful views. Even in late October, the temperatures were warm enough for us to enjoy the covered back porch, kayaks, and fishing from the dock. Our kids kept asking us if we could stay forever! We will definitely rent this property in the future.

Fantastic location!

My family and I had a wonderful stay! The porch, game room and dock area were absolutely wonderful, and where we spent all of our time during the week. We would certainly stay here again if we are ever in the area!

Lake house heaven

Peaceful stay!!

Perfect for girls’ trip!

Our group of 6 high school girlfriends from 3 different states were looking for a great place to meet up to celebrate our birthdays and many years of friendship. When we found this rental, we knew we found the perfect place. The location and the view can’t be beat! The house is gorgeous and the beds were very comfortable. We were beyond happy to spend most of our time on the porch and deck. We also enjoyed many hours floating in tubes by the dock and taking the kayaks out to explore the lake. We had a wonderful time and everyone agreed that we would love to stay here again.

Wonderful Stay!

We enjoyed our stay here very much! So relaxing, peaceful and enjoyable. Outdoor living is superb! We floated and hung out on dock, sat on large patio and drank coffee in the mornings and watched sunsets in the evenings. My son and daughter enjoyed the kayaks! Easy access to town, Bath Row & the National Park. Check in and out were easy - owner is helpful and quick with communication! Look forward to coming back!

Perfect Gathering Place

We rented the lake house for our daughters wedding at the Anthony Chapel in Garvan Woodland Gardens. This was the perfect spot for her to get ready for the wedding and an amazing place for family to stay and have fun. Thank you for letting us stay at your amazing house!

Winter stay at the lake

Great Christmas week getaway with the family. Although it was too cold to use the deck, the house was great for keeping the kids entertained. The host was great and even stopped by to drop off some forks and goodies for making s’mores. Close to parks and the beautiful botanical garden. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Getaway!

What a beautiful property to spend a few days at! The views are amazing and the house had everything we needed. Also, was very close to galveston gardens and a quick drive to hot springs national park.

Beautiful view with attentive owners

We enjoyed our stay at Lake Hamilton over thanksgiving. The weather was perfect for hiking and kayaking. We enjoyed the gardens, trails and Electric island within a few miles from the property. Owners were kind enough to let us use kayaks and life vests. Hot Springs is about 15 minutes away also. Lots to do if you love the outdoors! Kimberly was very attentive to our needs and quick to respond with any questions. Check in and out was super easy and they have done an amazing job on the home remodel. It’s beautiful. The layout of the property is separated, which is good if you’re looking for space or multiple families. I would not recommend this rental for young children with the steep stairs and water proximity. Even my 9 year old was very cautious going up and down to the main floor. Our only frustrations were stains on the couch, a broken disposal, and light bulbs needing replacing. Very minor details but at this high of a price point, we were a little surprised it wasn’t stocked and replaced. All in all, we’d go back. The porch made this property and with lake access, I bet it’s a blast in the summer too. Thanks for the memories!

Peaceful Getaway

We had two families that stayed here and there was plenty of room for us with all of the wonderful outdoor space! It might not be the best house for toddlers because of stairs and the proximity to the water, but it worked great for our four kids aged 5-11. They enjoyed swimming, kayaking, ping pong, roasting s’mores and the other games that were there! The owners have remodeled the house beautifully!!

Like everybody else says, the view here is amazing. We loved sitting on the awesome deck and stare at the lake and trees. And yes, the decks are great. The house is a nice set up that really made for a comfortable stay. Kimberly was quick to answer any questions we had.

Beautiful home on Lake Hamilton

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend at this home. The owners clearly put a lot of time and money into their remodel and it shows. The deck is large and the gabled roof over it gives it the feeling of a resort (stained wood plank ceiling and robust steel supports). The interior is stylish and comfortable at the same time. It reminded us of places we have stayed in Europe in that some of the spaces were small, but the finishes and style made these spaces feel luxurious. The proximity to the water is excellent and it is very peaceful as it is across the inlet from Garven Gardens. Our only caveat with the location is that it is about a 20 minute drive to Hot Springs. The host was extremely responsive and she was very helpful. I would give her 6 stars in this regard. The only reason that I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because we found the house to be less-than -perfect in terms of cleanliness. My children were going to use the bunk beads downstairs, but after pulling back the sheets, they found some crumbs and hair along the sides of the mattresses and decided to use the other beds downstairs instead. Also, there were some spots in the refrigerator and upstairs bathroom that looked like they did not get the attention to detail we would have hoped for. Perhaps at a lower price point, we would be a bit more lenient on this issue, but the house was listed at the upper end of the price spectrum and at that price, we have high expectations as regards these issues. All in all, it was a fun weekend and we had a great time at the house.

Perfect!

This was absolutely perfect. We wanted a getaway for our teens before this crazy school year kicks off. It was so much fun for everyone. The neighbors are close but no bother at all. The only tiny recommendation I have is, bring a raft, or water floats if you plan to swim. We did not take any. We assumed since it was on a lake, that floats and rafts would be available at any store. We tried EVERYWHERE. No one had any water toys or rafts for sale. We did not let that keep us from having an amazing weekend. This place is beautiful and the owners have definitely made the most of their space! Plenty of room!
