“This place was way too expensive ($500 for 2 nights) for grand junction and the condition of the property. It needs to be modernized.
While staying there for a CMU tour, there was a kitchen fire or something. Tons of smoke and the smell of burnt hamburgers during our stay. No fan system going or anything.
More like a motel 6.”

“The pictures look better than reality. The upkeep of property is very poor. The room was somewhat clean. I woke up in middle of night and there was a roach crawling on bed. When I went to checkout no one at front desk so I could not discuss with staff about the cleanliness and roach. I would not recommend.”

“The young lady checking us in was not at all friendly and without even saying good evening, demanded I provide IDs for all of us staying. When she checked my grandson’s, even though she could tell tell he was under 18, by DOB on his license, she just asked if he was under 18.
Once we got to our room, I realized she hadn’t shown the WiFi password on our key envelope. We looked through the room and couldn’t find it, so I called the office on my cellphone since the room phone wouldn’t connect me....

“Never stayed at a TRU property before, but having been on the road for the past 10 days, we knew what we wanted (and didn't). The place was decorated very hip and looked like no other hotel lobby I've been in before. The front desk was surrounded by every travel and snack product imaginable. Of course, none of it was complementary. The place just felt weird and as far as we could tell, the location was in an old industrial park. When we got to our room, we about barfed from the smell....
