Detta är en perfekt plats för semester i UP och är centralt beläget i Houghton vilket gör det mycket bekvämt att njuta av denna fantastiska stad och dess omgivningar. Det ligger ungefär 1 km från MTU: s rekreationsspår där du kan åka längdskidor på stigar i världsklass, snöskor, mountainbike, vandra och springa! Michigan Tech University ligger mindre än en mil såväl som det historiska centrum av Houghton.

Detta rymliga hem har ett fullt utrustat kök med disk, köksredskap, kastruller, stekpannor, spis, kaffekanna - allt du behöver för att laga alla måltider. Sovrum 1 har en queen size-säng och sovrum 2 har två enkelsängar. Den övre våningen är mycket stor och har en sektionssoffa samt en bäddsoffa och TV. Sektionssoffan dras ut i en fullstor säng med en bekväm kudde som kan sova upp till 2. Dagssängen dras ut i antingen två enkelsängar eller 1 king size-säng och kan sova upp till 2. TV-accessen inkluderar Netflix och Amazon prime.

Detta är ett underbart hem för familjer, vänner och äventyrare som letar efter en mysig, ren plats att bo medan de fortfarande har "hemma-känslan." Beläget inom räckhåll för allt Houghton har att erbjuda och ett centralt nav för Keewenaw-utforskning - du kan inte gå fel!

Själv incheckning och utcheckning gör att gästerna stannar ett steg enklare. Sen incheckning är inte ett problem. Gästerna har full tillgång till sitt "radhus". Det finns separat parkering på höger sida av uppfarten med plats för 2-3 fordon. Det finns en ingång till ytterdörren och en stor lindning runt verandan.

Great Place To Stay With a Family

This property worked out perfectly as a jumping point to explore the surrounding area. It's located within walking distance to downtown Houghton and the setup is very compatible with having children.

Very accommodating

Host was very accommodating considering we were arriving in the midst of a 12” snow storm. Location was perfect for touring MTU, I just wish we would have found the full house. The one thing our family of 4 could have utilized was a place for all of us to eat dinner together. But the price and the amount of beds was perfect for us. Next time we come into town we will inquire about the full unit.

We stayed for one night after skiing Mt Bohemia. House was a great location, perfect for what we needed. Didn’t use the kitchen really except for coffee, but seemed well stocked. House was so cutely decorated.

Wonderful Stay in Houghton!

Our family headed up to Houghton to hike and explore the outdoor region in the late fall. This was centrally located to all the hiking trails and was a beautiful home. Everything we needed was provided in the house and the host was exceptional in communicating. We especially loved the upstairs loft area which provided a nice space for us to hang out and do puzzling while it rained. Thank you for a great stay!

Michigan Tech visit

Spent a long weekend exploring Houghton and visiting Michigan Tech. We loved staying at Birch House. So much better than cramming in a hotel! Plenty of room for our family to spread out. Well-stocked kitchen made meal prep easy. Plenty of special touches and attention to detail. Very clean and comfortable.

Unique

This is a unique property. The home was very clean with all the amenities. Manager/owner reached out ahead of time to let us know they were available for needs. The unit we stayed in did not have an area that was functional for eating. It sleep 10 people but only 2 spots on high chairs to eat. Rules state no eating in other rooms so that was the only drawback. Otherwise a unique stay with clean accommodations!

Great location for MTU visits

This property was clean and convenient to the MTU and downtown Houghton area. Beds were comfortable and the upstairs loft area was a particular highlight for my kids. The only thing worth noting is that the kitchen can be a challenge. Counter space was cozy for cooking materials. The table only seats 2, requiring some advanced planning if you are hoping for a family meal. It would be perfectly fine for a couple, eating in shifts, or eating big meals out on the town. Despite that, we still enjoyed our stay very much!

This house was a wonderful tranquil location for us to launch from to explore both Michigan Tech and the Keweenaw peninsula. It is beautifully appointed with all you need for a long or short visit to the area.

Excellent stay!

This was a great place and Kristen was super awesome, she was available if we needed anything, I loved the location, close by downtown and also close to MTU campus and easy to get over to Hancock. I loved the details that went into the home, the decor and colors and everything was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this home.

Welcoming & Comfy
