Great value but basic
The Sofia Hotel is very good value, in the centre of Hua Hin, and what it offers is quite basic, but it is clean and functional.

Erholsame Tage in Hua Hin
das Hotel liegt sehr zentral im alten Teil von Hua Hin,mit vielen kleinen Strassen,der Nachtmarkt und andere Märkte sind gut zu Fuss erreichbar.Wer zum Strand möchte muss 600 Meter laufen,der feinsandig ist.Das Hotel hat 2 Billiardtische zur freien benutzung.

Older style I have stayed here 4 times close to beach, nightmarket, transport, food and convenience stores. Always pleasant staff, welcoming and comfortable Location good

Sofia hotel nice and comfortable
The Sofia is located near the night market, beach, many shops, restaurants, bars all within a 5 to 10 minute walk. My medium sized room was clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom. The airco, lighting, shower all worked well. The room had a cupboard, chairs, tables with an inroom frig and safe. The staff is friendly and efficient, i will stay again.

It was a quaint little place, simple but nice and clean. The food was very good and cost less than outside the hotel. The only thing that was questionable was that the safe, typical of a hotel sate, was not attached to the cabinet that it was in. You could literally pick it up and walk out the back gate unseen. yes, of course someone would have to break into your room to do that, but.... But very nice people, free billiards, nice.

A good guesthouse... The bed was very comfortable and the location was quite, the restaurant had a good breakfast and the staff were all polite

A few nights in Hua Hin
Great beds...very comfortable, nice quite area and walking distance from many restaurants and nightlife... The restaurant in the lobby has good food... Overall a great guesthouse..will stay here again for sure.

Another stay at Sofia------Still a satisfied custo
An overnight stay in Hua Hin to catch up with some friends. I have stayed there many times because of great location and reasonable tariff. Walking distance to pier, bar area and night market. Good sized room, aircon works well , comfortable bed, and hot shower.

Hotel overbooked.
When we arrived at the hotel, I was informed that they only had two rooms left. I had booked four rooms. We were directed to the next door hotel where two rooms were provided. So two rooms at the Sofia Hotel and two rooms at the next door property called Smile Guest House. I stayed at the Smile Guest House, so am not in a position to comment.

Sofia a nice comfortable hotel
The Sofia is excellent value situated in a small street just 10minutes walk from the sea and the night market. My room was clean modern and large with small tables and chairs. The bathroom was clean modern and good. The hotel is near many small shops and restaurants. The shower, airco, lighting, frig, flat tv, wifi all operated well; there was good cupboard space available. The hotel is very good value and recommended for all travellers. The allday breakfast is excellent and with Heiniken/San Miguel bottled beer at 75baht a good place to relax. There are stairs to the rooms . The staff is friendly and efficient with good English. I will stay again.

Not for everybody but suits me
A visit to Hua Hin to visit a sick friend. I've stayed at Sofia before. Old building could really use an update but location is great, staff are friendly and price is good.

Easy and comfortable
Good location near markets, massage, bars, beach. Pretty quiet area and large comfy beds. Not the newest rooms but the extra space made up for it.

Good location and clean rooms
Close to beach and comfortable area. Staffs are ok, they are helpful but not friendly like other thai ppl. Small bar at the hotel. Rooms are big as well. No elevator so with heavy luggage may be a hustle but it's only 3 floors.

Me tuve que ir corriendo del guesthouse que hay justo al lado porque no solo estaba sucio, sino que te hacían pagar hasta por el papel higiénico. El Sofia se ve bonito al entrar, la habitación era muy grande y cómoda, con un balconcito, buena señal de wifi y un par de botellas de agua diarias gratuitas. El personal no era un dechado de amabilidad, pero tampoco descortés. La localización, a un paseo de 5 minutos de la entrada a la playa. Económico, en su precio justo.

Süßes Hotel in perfekter Lage
Nettes kleines Hotel perfekt zw. Strand und Nachtmarkt gelegen. Zimmer superbillig und verhältnismäßig sauber. Würde das nächste mal zwar ein eigenes Bad nehmen, war in summe aber mehr als okay. Einzig blöd: Personal spricht wenig bis kein Englisch. Dafür gibts aber WLAN:)

Otimme yhdeksi yöksi Sofia hotellin. Kirjautuminen oli helppoa, huone tilava ja siisti. Wifi ei toiminut huoneessa ja aamupalaa ei saanut ennen klo 0800. Lähdimme ennen klo 0800 emmekä tienneet minne palauttaa aivanta sillä respa oli vielä kiinni. Annoimme avaimen siivousneidille joka toivottavasti kirjasi meidät ulos.
