“Host was absolutely brilliant, nothing too much bother. Has a small kitchen to use. We were on motorbikes and the host was helpful in getting our gear dried as much as possible!”
“Very nice cottage in an ideal location. Beautiful views across to Mell Fell. The cottage was as described, if I’m being critical, the cottage felt a little tired and would have been nice if there was some heat on in the cottage on arrival or at least some kindling to light the fire. The previous travellers had left some logs and firelighters which were useful.”
“We were impressed by the friendliness and excellent service provided by all staff. Our room (no 6) was comfortable.
Just one note of warning: the entrance way to the bathroom is VERY low; it is a safety issue calling for attention.
Dinners in the restaurant were well suited to hungry walkers: we enjoyed the food; it was well prepared and presented.
Breakfasts were good; a bowl of fresh fruit and a better range of cereals would have been welcome.
The hotel is in a very pleasant and peaceful...
