I can’t imagine staying in a better place. The room was spacious and clean and decorated beautifully. Everyone there was so helpful, and it was a short walk into town. I also loved the grounds. And I was sure to get breakfast and have happy hour each morning and late afternoon. We will definitely be coming back, hopefully with several friends as it’s the perfect spot for multiple couples/families.

Our stay at Harvey House was great! Jan greeted us and helped us settle in on check in day. She was very helpful and kind. Our room was very clean, cozy and warm. The house is very updated and modern with cute decor. We really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and happy hour each day. The common area was so nice and we had a very relaxed time in there most nights. I would highly recommend a stay at Harvey House!

We stayed 2 nights as a weekend get-away to celebrate our anniversary. This is a beautifully renovated property in a perfect location within easy walking distance to the town of Idlewild, but still in a fairly quiet location with natural surroundings. The room was clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. A wonderful breakfast and a happy hour with wine and snacks are provided. Jenn, who was responsible for setting up these events in the dining area did a fantastic job of assembling a wide variety of delicious treats. Be aware that the remote check-in procedure, which must be done on the day of arrival, can be tricky and that most of the time there is no staff on-site. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Idlewild.

Harvey House completely blew us away! They upgraded our room because of an event, and when we walked in, there was a bottle of wine and a gorgeous charcuterie board waiting for us — such an amazing surprise! The place is cozy, full of charm, and the staff is incredibly responsive via text,and attentive. Jan is amazing manager who is very friendly and sweet. Every detail made our stay feel special. Honestly, it was unforgettable, and we can’t wait to come back. Harvey House is absolutely the place to be in Idyllwild!

We stayed at Harvey House this past weekend April 18th and 19th. We were supposed to have stayed until the 20th but unfortunately my car had issues and we needed to go back home, sorry to say. The hotel and room were great, we stayed in the Oak suite which was roomy, light and very comfy. We looked out into the garden which was just as nature intended. Birds galore made it very special with their songs. Jan and her staff were so helpful, they laid out a wonderful breakfast, just the right type of food, fresh OJ, tea coffee, fruit, crossaints, breakfast quiche, cereal etc. Healthy food, not the buffet style hot meals laid out in huge chain hotels. Will we stay there again, absolutely! It's just a short walk to the main area of Idyllwild with lots of restaurants, coffee bars, a nice small museum, and a lot of the restaurants have live music which is an added bonus. I just wish our car didn't have to have issues, just our bad luck I guess. We highly recommend Harvey House and its staff 100%.

We stayed at the Harvey House in Idyllwild for a girls’ weekend focused on bonding, peace, and quiet—and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, the smell of fresh mountain air and pine set the tone for a truly restorative stay. The accommodations were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and feel at home right away. The décor was gorgeous—thoughtful, stylish, and perfectly suited to the serene forest setting. Every single person in our group was genuinely delighted with the experience, and that says a lot. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already talking about our next visit. We will all be returning without hesitation. A very special mention must go to Jan—affectionately dubbed our “food fairy.” She was an absolute delight and hands-down our favorite person we met all weekend. Thoughtful, warm, and full of joy, she added an extra layer of magic to our stay. We’re still talking about her and smiling. What a gift to have crossed paths with her during such a special weekend.
