“I stayed here during the Montreal Jazz Festival this year. The room was more spacious and comfortable than I expected and the hotel has an ideal location, close to downtown, Metro, Old Montreal and of course, Place des Arts for the Festival. Hotel staff were wonderful, and the free daily breakfast was a big PLUS! ”
“My stay at Grey Nuns Residence was superb. I had my own bath and a mini fridge in the room. The dorm style accomodation suited my well, since I am living that way normally. The people working the front desk were always helpful and cheery.
Just note that there is no AC in the rooms, which is stated in the description, so if you are bothered by that or by noise (I had my window open at all times, facing the busy Rue Guy), remember to bring ear plugs. I didn't hear much of other residents. Good...

I was able to eat more than a muffin, which is better than I can say about others haha,, Literally the only thing that was uncomfortable was how warm it got sometimes, but it would cool down after a little. Overall a great hotel for a great price. ”

"Reception staff unaware of basic hotel information. I.e. they say they don't have laundry service, when they do. I had to make the cleaning staff come and tell her that there is. First then she would take the laundry. The cleaning staff are good. The breakfast i very poor, the breakfast area is small and crowded, and they don’t let you bring it up to the room and enjoy it in peace and quiet. Free parking is a plus, but bring rubber boots if it rains to be able to enter your car as there is lack of drains."
