The Lodge at Basecamp is nestled just outside of beautiful Hunt, TX. This 4 bedroom w/ detached bunk room charmer, at 3000 square feet, is sure to steal your heart! Water abounds on this property with a 3 acre lake, river access, shared resort pool, and a private hot tub. Inside you will find 2 living spaces, a well-stocked and recently updated kitchen, dining area that seats 8 and a bar that seats 4, and a spacious master suite with patio access and beautiful views. The rest of the house is rustic luxury with 3 more bedrooms that share 2 bathrooms. There is also a large bunk room with 4 twin beds and a twin trundle for the older kids**. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and lake from the large deck, front porch, and fire pit area. Our dark skies offer excellent starry night viewing as well. Our 3-acre lake is ready for adventure with fishing (catch and release), kayaking, and swimming. Kayaks are provided for our guest's use. You can bring your fishing pole and bait and explore 3 other ponds along our hiking trail. All this and Guadalupe river access about a 1/2 mile away (this is walkable for some, however, there is a hill to climb before the road flattens out)! The pool is located at the resort entrance (not at The Lodge) and is heated during Spring Break.

**PLEASE NOTE: the bunk room can only be accessed through an outdoor staircase. There is no access to it from inside the home. Also, there is no bathroom in the bunk room. It is best suited for older children/young adults.

Basecamp encompasses 34 acres and we have recently transformed it into a glamping resort. We have 3 smaller cabins: Rocking F Rambler, a 1 BR/1 bath cabin (650 square feet), Carmel Cottage (1/1; 470 square feet) and Casita Juanita (1/1 efficiency - 220 square feet). These three cabins are located just across the lake on the 34-acre property. We have 5 glamping tents as well...each with its own private hot tub and yard.

Important things to note:
The grill is propane, so there is no need to bring charcoal. We provide firewood for the fire pit and fireplace. Please be reasonable in your usage.

PET POLICY: We welcome dogs (max 2) for a $75 pet fee. We love dogs (we have 2 of our own) and we are super happy to be able to provide a pet friendly home. In order to keep the property dog-friendly, we kindly ask that you:
- Clean up after your dog, both inside and outside (we provide dog waste bags at the home).
- Do not allow your dog on the furniture; this means both the couches and the beds.
- Dogs may not be left unattended inside the home unless you bring a crate.
- Dogs are not allowed in the pool area. There are no exceptions to this rule, as this is associated with Texas law.
- There will be a $250 fee assessed if evidence is found that an undisclosed pet was brought onto the property.
There is a separate fenced-in yard, near the home, where dogs can be kept. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and will help us keep the resort pet friendly for future guests!!! We do not allow cats on the property.

When the pool is heated, it will be heated to 78-80 degrees (Spring Break only).

Smoking of any kind is not permitted at the property. If there is evidence of smoking, a portion of the renter's deposit will be withheld.

Fireworks are not allowed on the property.

All amenities are for registered guests only.

A rental agreement and damage deposit are required prior to arrival. A $1500 hold will be placed on guest's credit card two days prior to reservation date and released once the property has been assessed for damages. There is NO CHARGE to guest's credit card unless there are property damages. The hold is automatically released after the reservation.
