Graduation Weekend
We absolutely loved this home. The giant couch in the sun room was amazing for our family gathering and the outdoor patio with fire pit was perfect. It was well stocked, host responded to all messages quickly and was an easy ten minute ride to downtown Iowa City. Would definitely recommend!

Pretty & peaceful
We had a wonderful weekend celebrating my sisters birthday here! Lots of sitting rooms & beds! The owner communicated quickly and with specifics. The back room, yard, and city park are awesome! We’ll be back!

Immaculate and comfortable
This lovely home was ideal for our family Thanksgiving. Spacious and well furnished, with plenty of gathering spaces and bedrooms for all to enjoy. The foam mattresses were so comfortable, very high quality bedding and towels. We were so impressed when we walked in and could see how perfectly clean it was...I could immediately relax and focus on preparing our Thanksgiving meal in the spacious kitchen. Loved the grill and fireplace outside, as well as the fireplace in the four season room. I wa a little surprised not to have a microwave (not complaining...kitchen appliances were brand new and high quality) or a second TV (we worked around it) and there were no curtains on the first floor....but because of the location it still felt private. Hosts were responsive and friendly. This will definitely be my first choice for future gatherings in Iowa City.

Great house in great neighborhood
We loved that the house was in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Very nice kitchen, family room and bedrooms. We were able to walk back to the house from the football game but it would be quite far for guests who aren’t used to walking a lot.

Frustrating and disheartened
Sadly our trip to Iowa City started out poorly upon check in of this property. We first tried to gain access to the property at 5:00 pm. We were in town for a wedding. We had a rehearsal dinner and we wanted to change and use the restrooms. We had guests that had flown in or drove and we were looking forward to dumping all of our stuff. Sadly the key code wouldn't work and the owner was non-responsive. When she did contact me 2 of our guests had booked hotels at the Hyatt as they needed to get ready and we had left the property to use those hotel rooms. Then when we tried to gain access around 9:00 pm the key pad would not work again and we still could not gain access. Finally we were granted the lock box code so that we could use the key to get into the house. Thereafter the house is adorable, and has everything one needs. The beds are foam mattresses, so be forewarned, as some people do not care for them. They are much stiffer than a standard mattress. Sadly, the house experience was so tainted by the initial check in process that we truly never could relax and enjoy what should have been a fun weekend spent with family. In the end half our guests stayed at the Hyatt while the other at the house. I was compensated with a GC to Starbucks which I felt undercompensated us for our difficulties. I contacted the owner with regards to this and she did not respond.
