“Quaint English Hotel — very kind staff!”

“Disgraceful! Didn’t stay as there was no one at the property at 9:15pm arrival. Tried phoning them throughout the day to confirm and left voicemails. Zero response. 12:30 now next day still zero response. At 10pm a random guy pulled into the car park and asked if I was lost. He then offered me to stay in his home. Whole experience was dodgy. I booked and stayed elsewhere in the area later. ”

“Arrived everything was locked and closed no contact number … was booked in for the week but first might had to go and stay at another hotel. Hotel would not refund the first night . Second night stayed after being completely locked out only to have a rock hard bed and a room that was freezing cold with no heater and a toilet that didn’t flush properly. Woke up hurting as the bed was so hard. Breakfast the eggs were undercooked and they put cheese on them couldn’t eat them . ”

“If I were to book again, I would ask for a ground floor room with air conditioning. The elevator is for luggage only, and a person with limited mobility would find the stairs (although very wide, carpeted and with handrails) a challenge. The restaurant is great for breakfast or dinner. The pool is very nice, heated and outdoors. Very helpful staff. The hotel is apparently a popular wedding venue, it was very busy the day we checked out.”

“Absolutely beautiful property in a gorgeous village! Chris the manager and James one of the bar staff went above and beyond for our little party, we are very excited about the prospect of returning with more friends and experiencing some live music :) see you soon!!”

“The room was so tastefully decorated, the bed was incredibly comfy. Dan was so helpful and very communicative. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to others. ”

“Room was ok, very small bathroom with limited facilities. The room I was in was next to the kitchen, lots of noise til 12 and then from 6. Was expecting a continental breakfast, but a full English was given which was nice Overall a cheap place to stay, owners really friendly. ”

“The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was very tired; it needed a complete refit. The mattress had lost most of its support. The breakfast was excellent.”
