Great food in the Hancock Kitchen (less formal of the 2 restaurants) - didn’t eat at the more formal one. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for many many years. Encourage anyone to visit.”

“A lovely hotel with a friendly team of staff. Access to the spa was a great bonus. The food was really good and welcome drink a nice surprise. We ate in the restaurant both nights. The Courtyard was a lovely space to take your drink. Good location. I would recommend a stay at this hotel. ”

“Extremely friendly receptionist and it’s so nice to be accompanied to your room rather than be left alone . The hotel rooms are quite quirky with antique furnishings and our room had an oriental/ Asian flavour…perhaps some artwork over the bed would have made the room more appealing.The bed and shower were great and extremely hot water so that is a bonus. We walked to visit Burghley house which is located behind the inn and is a must see. The town of Stamford is a hidden gem …I felt we were on a...
