“My stay at the Lodge at Punta Rica was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing vacations I have ever had. Nestled on a hilltop on Bastimentos Island and overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the lodge was a peaceful haven of tranquility, beauty, and relaxation—exactly what I needed after a hectic and stressful season of life. The hotel staff met me at the airport and transported me by boat to Bastimentos Island, a short 20-minute ride from Bocas del Toro Isla Colón.

“Great stay and they did everything to make our stay better even though Americans or Canadians from hell destroyed the first days with there trailer park white trash wedding. Thank you Maurio and your great staff! 🙏❤️”
“Enjoyable stay on an island - but we had higher expectations. You get picked up in the harbour, works perfectly fine. The lodge was half open to nature and really fantastic. Dark wood materials, comfortable bed, shower half outdoors with nice eco friendly products. Be prepared to get some exercise while climbing up to lobby/dinner area. Dinner was average and breakfast as well. Missed "taste/flavour". The tour on the farm was nice but in the end it is all planted there and a little of everything...
“My review should be seen in relation to the fact that it is an expensive hotel.
The room and the staff were very good.
The food was okay.
What bothered us the most, unfortunately, was that the hotel did not live up to the rules regarding beach chairs.
According to the staff, beach chairs were supposed to be reserved for hotel guests, this was absolutely not the case.
Every day after lunch, half of the beach chairs were taken by other people, in addition to this, ordinary chairs from...
“A Magical Rainforest Escape – Highly Recommended!
We absolutely loved our stay at Ataraxia eco lodge! The property is run by a very nice couple who make you feel incredibly welcome from the moment you arrive.
It is beautifully located right in the rainforest, allowing you to completely immerse yourself in nature. During our stay, we loved watching monkeys playing, spotting sloths, and seeing a variety of beautiful tropical birds right from the property.
The food was another major highlight. The...
“Travelling as a family of 4, we got a tiny room with barely any space and NO space for our clothes so we lived in our backpacks.
1st breakfast the owner tried to barter away the included breakfast although I could show proof. Considering we were maybe half of the islands total tourist population at the time one might’ve thought to appreciate us.
Since we were Caribbean view’s only guests it always took an hour waiting after a dinner was ordered, usually spaghetti bolognese and chicken with...
“Vi hade rummet närmst köket och vi hade tre kackerlackor. Två stora och en liten.
Det luktade illa på rummet.
Men personalen var trevlig, hjälpsam och tillmötesgående.
Vi fick tillbaka en del av pengarna när vi valde att checka ut tidigare. ”
