“My review should be seen in relation to the fact that it is an expensive hotel.
The room and the staff were very good.
The food was okay.
What bothered us the most, unfortunately, was that the hotel did not live up to the rules regarding beach chairs.
According to the staff, beach chairs were supposed to be reserved for hotel guests, this was absolutely not the case.

“Enjoyable stay on an island - but we had higher expectations. You get picked up in the harbour, works perfectly fine. The lodge was half open to nature and really fantastic. Dark wood materials, comfortable bed, shower half outdoors with nice eco friendly products. Be prepared to get some exercise while climbing up to lobby/dinner area. Dinner was average and breakfast as well. Missed "taste/flavour". The tour on the farm was nice but in the end it is all planted there and a little of everything...

“A two-night stay at this charming hotel on Cristobal Island, tucked away from all noise. Nature at its best. Freshly caught lobsters and seafood, and the best gourmet breakfasts and dinners prepared by the owners. We shared laughs, stories, and karaoke in the evenings with other guests. They also coordinate tours and other activities on the beaches and surrounding islands. Also I recommend this wonderful place for a Pilates retreat - Yoga - Family reunion promotion, etc.”

The property took 30 mins from the airport, the final 20 mins down a very rough sand track!
The sea has a lot of serf and tides so dangerous for weak swimmers The beach is long and beautiful.
The hotel and pool are small but excellent
.The restaurant is good but limited in choice
The staff are lovely particularly Dahlia who looked after us.
The Humming Bird restaurant was excellent a 10 minute walk Take a torch.
The track gets very muddy and uneven,with potholes.”

“Hade en mycket bra vistelse, boendet var mysigt, maten var suverän, personalen brydde sig verkligen. Om maten inte passade ungarna ordnade de annat utanför menyn. Hittar inte mycket att klaga på men kan ta upp att det stod fiske på närområdet men det är en Eco loge och man fick inte fiska där. Tog upp det och fick en fisketur gratis med båt så ungarna fick fiska lite. Bokade även en fisketur via dem, den var suverän. “We had an amazing stay here! The location is perfect-very easy to walk to everything, but very quiet and peaceful. Tammy was a fabulous host, helping us with everything from restaurant recommendations (which were all great!) and even driving us to one of the locations which was quite far from town and to the airport. Breakfast was delicious. Our room had everything we needed for our stay, and there is a wonderful big balcony up top with beautiful views. We loved our stay here!!”

“Kitchen was sparse. No coffee maker only espresso machine. We enjoyed our stay. Slept great.
Papaya restaurant nearby was our favorite. Staff in Merlin restaurant below the hotel was always friendly and greeted us with a wave and smile but never came over to take our order so on three different occasions we got up and went somewhere else. Is there a cultural thing we’re missing here ?”

“I would consider this a high end hostel although I have no comparison as we usually stay in 4 star places but we we surprisingly pleased with this place. Although it was beside the airport it was ok as there were no night flights and we were out and about during the day
