Beautiful view, loved watching the birds dance multiple times a day. So very peaceful. Only complaint is a little dusty but I expect that in any cabins or lodges. Loved having the hot tub to come back to. Would have liked a little more lighting in kitchen. Very pleased with the property overall and would consider renting again if in area.

Great location, close distance from West entrance of Yellowstone. 2 hours from Jackson and in clear days a great view of the tetons. Great view of lake, and nice log cabin. We were unable to use fireplace and wood stove for the cooler nights. furnace works ok, but we wish we could have made use of the fireplace or wood stove.

My husband, 13 year old grandson and I enjoyed our time at Peaceful View. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with items you might need. It was so peaceful and quiet at the home. The views of the lake and mountains were incredible! We enjoyed getting out the binoculars every morning and checking on nearby wildlife. We were lucky to spot a moose by the woods two different times and a pair of deer who were out grazing almost every day. It was a short 15 minute drive to West Yellowstone for dinner or entering Yellowstone NP. We spent most of our days in Yellowstone, but it was always nice to come home to the cozy house with the beautiful views.

Great location and incredible view. Very clean and quaint. It was like borrowing your grandparents cabin for the weekend. Great location between Island Park and WYP. Bbq propane empty and no wifi password found. Limited parking and several neighborhood dogs roaming property. Great game room area. Limited lighting. 2 small tvs but who needs tv with the surrounding nature! Very nice but would probably not book again.

Wonderful View

The view of Henry Lake and the mountains was amazing. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed our stay!

We actually ended up staying at one of their other locations due to a bat issue at this location. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of them contacting us and relocating us to a very beautiful cabin. We were well stocked with supplies and the cabin was very clean. It was a great place to stay for our travels into Yellowstone Park.

Amazing Family Trip

The property was just as described. Amazing views of the lake. My wife and I enjoyed seeing the momma moose and her calf every morning while we had coffee. Convenient location to Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again and hope to get the opportunity to come back real soon!

Beautiful Views & Peaceful Stay

We enjoyed our time at Peaceful View! The home was very nice and the views were beautiful. It’s also in a great location. There were only a few minor issues and that was that the home could use more lighting and the deck railing could use some repairs for safety. In the end, we very much enjoyed our stay here and we would definitely recommend it to others.

Excellent view with lots to do!

This property offered everything! It had plenty of room to relax with amazing views. It was quiet, peaceful and private. It also offered many amenities that made the stay more comfortable and just like home. Close to West Yellowstone and Idaho Springs restaurants for going out. This place is also a great location for all kinds of sightseeing in every direction - Yellowstone, Idaho and Montana.

Relaxing Stay

What a wonderful, homey cabin. I wish we had more time to just enjoy the space, but we were busy out exploring Yellowstone. Only about a 15-minute drive from West Yellowstone. Kitchen was fully appointed and it was so nice to have a cooler available to use on day trips. I would definitely stay here again. Our party of 4 had plenty of space.

Great stay for Yellowstone

This was a great place to stay about 15 minutes from the West Entrance of Yellowstone. With the town of West Yellowstone nearby there were plenty of places to eat and two grocery stores to pick up any supplies. The views from the home with the lake and mountains behind is absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed picking up supper in town after a long day of sightseeing and eating it in the breakfast nook with the gorgeous view! The beds were very comfortable and we felt very at home!

Relaxing and peaceful

The view was spectacular with the lake and mountains. We saw a mouse from a distance each morning and evening. A doe and her baby came into the back yard the last day we were there. We stayed at this cabin more than we expected and needed the rest from our long 2 week vacation. The owner lives next door and was such a nice lady. I loved this house with all the antique furniture We will definitely rent this house again.

Fabulous Views

The deck and views were remarkable. The interior was a bit overdone with furnishings and chotzkes on all of the furniture. The blanket rack and antique sewing machine and chair at the entrance made it hard to bring in luggage and coolers. The personal effects made me feel as though I was invading someone's private home so hard to get comfortable. I haven't experienced so many personal items in a VRBO before. Not to be totally negative, the beds were very comfortable. The location was also very convenient to all Island Park and Yellowstone have to offer.

Lovely views!

The views were amazing! We even saw Moose every evening! We felt the house needed some work! The deck was a bit dangerous. Rotten boards, screws sticking up, etc. The inside definitely had character! It had so much stuff that we couldn’t find places to put our stuff! The pot rack was in a terrible place as we were constantly bumping our heads. Also, I wasn’t aware that we were going to have to go upstairs to use the bathroom, from the 2nd bedroom. Not a problem during the day, but definitely a problem in the middle of the night! However, we did enjoy our stay!

Peaceful and Relaxing

We traveled to Idaho from Michigan with our family of four and used this as our "basecamp!" We drove all through Yellowstone, explored local areas in Idaho, made a day trip to Montana and absolutely loved coming back each night to the house. The view alone of Sawtelle Mountain and others surrounding it is breathtaking. The house was delightful and inviting. Anything you could think of you would need in the kitchen was already available. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. We were able to keep up with laundry with the washer and dryer which made coming home much easier when I knew we didn't have 5 loads of laundry or more to do! The homeowners have taken great care of the home and have local history, guides, and information all about the local and surrounding areas. We would stay here again anytime our adventures take us to Island Park area. We are so grateful for the relaxing atmosphere it provided for us during our trip. Loved the house, adored the area and greatly appreciated how quickly all of our questions were answered.

Not What We Expected

Overall I would not book this location again. It was not what we expected and we could not use the outdoor areas due to the mosquitos. We did not have issues with mosquitos at other places we stayed in the area nor inside the park. Pros: - got to see some wildlife: 2 moose, 3 bald eagles, and a fox - location was good, easy access to the west yellowstone entrance - kitchen was stocked well with spices, and other basics - the view of the lake and the snow covered mountains was beautiful Cons - the kitchen was not cleaned before we arrived and had to wash dishes and utensils that were in the organizer were greasy with food on them - limited supply of toilet paper (not an issue if I'd known so I could have bought some before we got there) - the air vents looked like they had not been cleaned in years and if the heat had to turn on it would have gone through inches of dead bugs - the outside was unusable due to thigh high grass that needed to be mowed (did NOT look like the outside pictures) - TONS of mosquitos swarmed every time we went outside - lots of the light bulbs were burned out, the house was very dark at night - the house is heavily furnished and made it difficult to get inside and move around

Truly Peaceful!

This was definitely a very peaceful, relaxing, and welcoming experience. The cabin was very well stocked and had just about everything, from toiletries to rice to syrup to pots and pans to dishes and coffee mugs to especially WiFi! The WiFi was not laggy or spotty or anything, and the satellite TV was good as well. They had plenty of board games and stuff for us to do. We played games one night upstairs on the loft with the stereo on for music. Most importantly, they had the peaceful atmosphere we were looking for, and the stars at night were plentiful and brilliant. In the morning we would relax out on the back porch staring at the view but only for a little bit because of the bugs. The location was easy to find, though a tad desolate but that's what you want. It was an easy 20 minute drive to the YS Park west entrance, but you'll need to keep in mind the long car line at the west entrance. The car line in the morning extends into the town of West Yellowstone along Yellowstone Ave to at least Geyser St. Check out rules were standard, nothing onerous or anything. And the communication was robust and detailed. I knew what was going on and what was needed at all times leading to the time of rental. Overall a very home-like and comforting experience. Definitely a breath of clean, fresh air, and away from the turmoil. Thanks!

Great views!

We enjoyed our stay here. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The property did not appear to have been stayed in recently. Furniture was dusty and outside trash can nearly full. The view of the lake and mountains are great and we saw a moose and her calf in the marsh out back when we left. Would stay here again while visiting Yellowstone.
