Gorgeous oceanfront home with private beach access
At “Sweetwater” (6 Sand Dune Lane) enjoy the sounds of the surf and warm summer breezes from the two spacious decks overlooking the ocean! Sunrise and sunset can be viewed in full splendor from this spectacular home, with unlimited entertaining possibilities. Your own private path leads over the sand dunes to the gorgeous beach. Location, location, location is the absolute best with the county park, the only area on the island to feature seasonal lifeguards. The Isle of Palms private pier is the source of the spectacular 4th of July fireworks show. Located near the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the private Beachside Community, this unique home has expansive oceanfront views and the inviting beachfront. At nearby Front Beach your will find shops, ice cream and restaurants.
“Sweetwater” welcomes you with a cathedral ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows and endless amenities, and no expense was spared during the complete, superb quality renovation in 2023. Wheelchair accessible, the elevator brings you, your luggage and groceries from the garage to the first level with ease. The exquisite furnishings were all professionally designed to provide enjoyment on your vacation. Quality details can be found throughout the home, including the mantel, which is from a former Georgia governor’s home, ca.1824, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The fireplace is decorative only. A whole-house air purifier, dehumidifier and water filter were newly installed for your comfort. The gorgeous, well-equipped kitchen features top-of-the-line appliances, beautiful granite countertops and custom cabinetry and offers incredible ocean views for the chef. The open dining area features a custom walnut table with seating for eight as well as additional seating for four more at the adjacent kitchen island.
When it is time to retire at the end of the day and dream of adventures to come, “Sweetwater” offers four beautifully-appointed bedrooms and three full baths. The master bedroom has direct access to the oceanfront deck and features a king bed and a private bath. A guest bedroom is highlighted with a queen bed and bath/guest powder room. An open staircase leads you to an additional oceanfront bedroom on the second level with a king bed, and it opens to a private balcony with sweeping views up and down the beach. It shares a spacious bath with the fourth guest bedroom which features a queen bed. For extra shade on the decks, there are 2 deck umbrellas, and 1 beach umbrella is available for the beach. This incredible home is but a short walk to the community pool and tennis and pickle ball courts, which are accessible only to Beachside Community residents and their guests (seasonal access). Harris Teeter grocery and the incomparable Long Island Cafe (Isle of Palms was formerly named Long Island) are just five minutes away. On the ground level are a gas grill, picnic table, swing for two, a shower and a comfortable seating area.
