  • Vackert hus vid stranden med panoramautsikt över havet och privat strandpromenad, belägen på Isle of Palms. Detta södra hem ligger under gamla ekar och är dekorerat med glada strandfärger och Charleston-baserad konst. Köket har en liten frukostbar med bänkskiva i granit. Matbordet har plats för 8 och är öppet mot vardagsrummet. Vardagsrummet är öppet med platt-TV och gott om sittplatser för alla. Stigande ut på skärmen verandan finns gungstolar och utomhus matbord med hängmatta.
    På tredje våningen finns en master svit med ett rymligt sovrum med privat soldäck, eget badrum med stor jacuzzi. Backyard erbjuder fantastiskt grönt utrymme för familjespel. Fastigheten har en underbar privat strandpromenad fr������n trädgården genom sanddynerna som ger direkt tillgång till stranden. Denna fastighet erbjuder en gasgrill belägen under huset (propantankar kan bytas ut på vårt kontor under ordinarie öppettider), WiFi och sängkläder ingår. Ingen rökning eller husdjur snälla. Öppen spis är inte för gästbruk.

A definite problem was that the air conditioning was not fully functioning. The technicians indicated that the unit was on its last legs and was in need of being replaced.

The home was clean with a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable linens.Our one negative experience was a coyote attack when walking the dog! This animal was relentless charging at my niece and her dog and only succeeded reaching them by me screaming and charging back. Very Scary! A tragedy averted, thankfully!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the house and only used three of the four bedrooms. The place has a very cozy feel to it and is endlessly interesting; there seemed to be a surprise around every corner, like the third bedroom on the first floor with its own bathroom and shower. The porch was also a treat, wrapping on two sides of the house, with entrances on to it from the living room and two of the bedrooms. The master bedroom and bathroom take up the entire second floor. There is a sliding glass door leading from the master bedroom to its own deck looking out over the dunes. I was always too busy or too tired to take advantage of the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, but I'm sure it would have been a nice experience.Friends dropped by from Mt. Pleasant and Charleston and spent the day with us on the beach in front of the property, and then came by the following evening for dinner. The dining room easily accommodated our friends and us (five grownups, two teens, and two toddlers). The rocking chairs and hammock on the porch were a great place for everyone to relax and just talk in between other activities. The living room has a working fireplace with firewood stacked on the porch next to the chimney. We never found an opportunity to use it, but it is probably just the thing for cold, wet days.The property itself is gorgeous with large trees and a tremendous lawn of about 120 yards from the back deck to the dunes -- we used the lawn to play soccer, but it would also be a perfect place for frisbee, croquet, badminton, etc. A narrow public path/right-of-way hugs the right side of the lawn all the way out to the dunes, but we only saw a half dozen people walk through on any given day, and they were all pleasant. There are only two public parking spots across the street from the property, which likely explains why so few passed through.Finally, the people at Island Realty were very accommodating when we accidentally arrived a day early for our seven-day stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed this homey beach cottage. While obviously an older home, we were perfectly comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, the view is wonderful, and the layout is great. It was a little musty on arrival, but it did not bother me (I’m very sensitive). I was worried the beach access would affect privacy, but it was not heavily used or noticeable (July stay). The beach area is a “sweet spot” in terms of crowds. A maintenance issue (caused by our kids) was dealt with easily. All in all, a perfect family place! There are some flying insects that need dealing with (cleaning crew should vacuum behind furniture), but nothing that would prevent me from staying here again.Kudos to the lawn crew who did not come early and made quick work of the massive lawn and did not use leaf blowers excessively!

Even though there were neighbors to the immediate left and right, the trees and large yard made it seem like our own isolated place on the beach. Nice older beach house, plenty of room, great views and wonderful large screened in porch with plenty of seating. The yard is unbelievable for croquet, bocce, soccer ball, football, etc. The ONE drawback, and not really a drawback if you are aware and plan for it, the parking is tight. I will absolutely stay here again and again.

3rd annual stay isn’t this property

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented this home for 3 years in a row. We love the location, that the home is on the beach and surrounded by trees, the giant screened in porch with hammock and table/chairs for enjoying meals outside, and the paved space under the house for our kids to play. However — the home is in definite need of some upgrades and maintenance. The shower in the guest room behind the stairs had mold in it for the 2nd year in a row, and the toilet in the bathroom btn the two twin bedrooms ran constantly. The last night, the large tub upstairs started leaking through the ceiling and dripping into the dining room - even though the tub was barely filling up. This also happened last year on our last night. In addition, there is no longer a working light over the kitchen sink, making it difficult to see when washing dishes - and it just makes the kitchen seem dark and dingy when working at those counter tops. We will likely choose another property next year, which I hate, because the location/yard/outside spaces at the home are lovely!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was in excellent location. Liked the path out to the beach! Needs updates almost all windows said could not open with signs. Screen was fully ripped off one side of porch and just hanging there from storm 2 weeks earlier had to call management to fix twice. Like island realty for most part but could we check lights and remotes and replace these proactively for guests before each visit. Every year we go in August and by end of season half the bulbs are burned out, one out of 4 remotes has working batteries. Would just like to see some proactive efforts so I am not constantly calling to fix things.

Although the home is older and somewhat worn we can attest to its sturdiness as a tornado passed with ion 150' of the house! Weather wise the whole week was a challenge but quick access to the beach enabled us to take advantage of every break n the storm. Great location!
