Clean Condo / Great experience

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 4th Sea Cabin I have stayed in over the years and this was the cleanest I have stayed at. There was no damp smell when walking in. There were clean linens and dishes. The chairs on the balcony were great and we enjoyed plenty of time out there! We had a problem folding up the sofa one day and a quick text to property management solved that issue! (And a new sofa was getting delivered the day we left.) I did have to call to verify our checkout when the cleaning crew showed up a day early, but the management company again was friendly and quick to take care of it. I would definitely stay here again!

Beach Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was just like it was pictured online. We felt it could have been a bit cleaner. The floors were not swept and the nightstands were not washed. The microwave didn't heat up. They were very responsive and brought another one for us to use. It warmed the food but it didn't show the time, of how many minutes the food was in for.

Loved our Sea Cabin!

Amazing location in Isle of Palms. Close to everything. Couldn’t ask for better access to the beach and boardwalk. The condo itself was perfect. Great space for 2 adults and 2 kids. They were obsessed with the bunks! And for anyone who cares, they never fell out ;) It was so clean, well stocked with needed items - so grateful for the beach chairs and sand toys! Parking was convenient. Beds comfy. Wii games were a huge plus at night! Kids loved everything about it. Thank you for an amazing week. We’d love to come back.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent unit. No complaints other than couch. Comfortable but cushions sunk so deep it made it hard to get up. Very clean. Lots of amenities. Great view from the balcony with the tall chairs. Property was clean and well maintained. Our second stay in this unit and will rent it again.

The Stabbin' Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Before I elaborate on my experience, I do want to acknowledge Carrie, with Island Realty - she moved us to another location the next day. This place is absolutely filthy. It starts with the complex and the exterior door being covered in a nasty liquid splattered all over it. There is dirt and grime everywhere...the door trim, walls, the tub, door handles, and I would never let my kids touch those steps to the bunks. There were hairs on the sheets, walls, and a huge yellow stain on one of the towels. Also, the toilet is very short - almost child like - and the bed is practically on the floor so if you have any issues,or had back surgery like me, its very hard to get up and down. I would equate it to a Red Roof Inn. There's obviously housekeeping issues, but also in need of some PM work. When they moved us to another location, there were no issues there and it was very comfortable. I do wish there had been a way to contact the office and be moved when we checked in, but it was after hours and no way to discuss the issues with the office - only an emergency maintenance line.

Amazing location but very small

Renting with this rental property was a complete pain. They required that we arrived within an hour and half period. It was just ridiculous. Our travel arrangements did allow for that. They were not very flexible. I had to call several times before they would set up a lock box; which was just ridiculous because we signed everything electronically and no keys are required. It’s a hassle for nothing. My husband and I have traveled the world and never encountered a company that was so difficult to work with. We both have asthma. The apartment was extremely dusty. The place looked like it hadn’t been rented in a long time. It was very dirty. There were toe nail clippings in the dressers. There was a thick layer of dust. This place has mold and you can smell it. I had to air out the place. It killed our allergies. The dishes were slimy. It was bad. I washed what we needed that night and they sent someone to clean the next day. Everything worked. Nothing was broken. The location was excellent. Restaurants, the grocery store, and even a pharmacy are all within walking distance. There is a great view of the beach and the sea from the balcony. The beach is a very short walk. It is very, very small. It comfortably fits 2 people; but it’s tight. It does not comfortably fit more than 2 people. The bunk beds are built into the hallway and are smaller than twin sized so our boys were uncomfortable. I thought the beds were in their own room. I was a bit confused by the pictures. I do not recommend this for a family.

Growth isn’t always a good thing

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good time, but the crowds are getting a bit too much for us. I’ve been coming down to Isle of Palms since the early 80’s and loved it then. I totally understand that growth has to happen over time, but I wanted my (5) yr old daughter to have some of the same experience that I had coming here in my youth, but that’s impossible now. We felt more like we were in Myrtle Beach than a little island, over all a nice time, but I believe Sea Cabins and Ise of Palms has changed too much for our taste.

pretty view

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: looks inviting until you set on the sofa and fall into a hole. Cereal bowls are size of large serving bowls and very few glasses making it necessary to clean them to use the next time. The bed was the same as the sofa. Both need to be replaced. I expected better for $200/night

Sea Cabins 205A

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: VERY pleasurable return visit to the Sea Cabins. We loved the 205A cabin and would select it again on a subsequent visit to the IOP. A side note... the light switch for the over-kitchen fixture is installed upside down and when the dimmer slider is moved there is disturbing flickering of the light. Some connection is possibly dangerously loose. Mark was GREAT in helping with getting the TV and remote working properly.

Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This vacation started out wonderful. Place looked nice and clean. But on our last night small bugs, possibly termites, lots of them, were coming out from the floors and trim. I called the 24 hour number and they told us it could wait until normal business hours. We were extremely disappointed!! We drove home in the middle of the night cutting our vacation short and upsetting our children. The next day I got a text from the maintenance department confirming they have termite swarms in the Spring, and apologizing. However our vacation was still cut short and we felt forced to drive home 6 hours over night!
