We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and our continental breakfast buffet. Just for clarification and reassurance, there was definitely no change in price between you booking and your stay. You were in one of our double rooms, which are cosy rooms with a standard British double bed. For anyone wanting a little more space they may want to consider our kingsize or superking rooms. Room sizes are shown on the booking information. It means a huge amount to us that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for staying at Atholl House.

When we took over the hotel in 2021 we wanted it to be so that people feel totally at home and able to relax - so it means the world to us that this is what you experienced. I am so glad you also loved our continental breakfast and homecooked dinners.

I am so delighted that you loved your stay. We do not provide small bottles of shampoo etc as a conscious environmental choice but do provide quality locally produced hand soap and hair and body wash that we refill - I am sorry these were not what you wanted and we will take on board your comments on this.

I am so sad that you did not give us this feedback while you were here - in response to this feedback we have adjusted the door closer for the fire door in the corridor next to your room so that it now closes more quietly. We are also aware of the issue of the room in question being near the toilet and you may have noticed some discreet minor renovation work happening nearer reception - this is to install a new toilet for public use that will be in use within the next couple of weeks and away from all rooms. As an old building many of the rooms are not huge but we are delighted that the single room that you had in fact is large enough to have a double bed unlike many single rooms available in Scotland. Our bistro style dining room does offer simple and modest home cooked food as described on our website - we are so sorry this was not to your taste. Thank you so much for staying with us and if you do return to Skye we do hope you will decide to stay with us again and experience our alterations.
