“Stayed here on a visit to Wigtown in late August 2026. Communication was great with multiple emails confirming reservation and instructions. Although there are no staff of duty the instructions on how to get the key were timely and detailed and we had no problems at all getting in and checking out, and we arrived late. “The ships cabin is a lovely place to stay for a couple. Everything you need, it’s clean, modern, and well located in Gatehouse. Parking off road just outside on the drive.
The WiFi works, the tv has loads of channels. Very comfortable would recommend. It’s is located centrally in Gatehouse, just a bit away from the Spa, park, Ship pub and a fab ice cream shop. Gatehouse is a lovely place. Very friendly residents. Thank you for a wonderful stay.”
