“Stayed 4 nights with my wife and two kids. This hotel is the best in Ixtapa for kids as it is enclosed, has several good pools and lots of kids activities and nanny service. Its next to the beach but a few km out from actual Ixtapa.”

“A very nice and relaxing place to be for a couple of days. We got a fantastic room with a view and the much needed sun. We had a hugh open area between our two bedrooms where we can relax outdoor for much of the day. The only negative thing was that to get hot water from a shower, we need to let it run for at least 5 minutes which is a waste of resource. Other than that, I like the place a lot. Although it is expensive but we get a credit of USD150 a day which offset the price.”

“Great boutique hotel with lovely pool and only a 10 minute walk to the beach at best. Great views of the bay and Christian the host was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was awesome. Recommend this place for a chilled out vacation.”

“We spent seven full nights at Portofino and it was truly serene. Three things stood out:
1) The staff. Our servers E and A were truly amazing. Sometimes there was a language barrier, but it was more entertaining than a negative. As a US resident visiting a foreign country I don't expect our hosts to automatically speak english and it was actually more authentic to wade through some back and forth. And it wasn't a distraction at all we enjoyed the conversation. They were always checking on...
