  • Serenity Now! Enjoy an off the grid experience on our 40 acres of rolling hills, and a lot of nature's beauty. No running water or electricity. There is limited solar power to recharge your phone and provide lighting and a fan. You can enjoy the several hiking trails and a peaceful campfire. No bedding provided. 1 Queen futonn and two single cots. Propane heater, cook top and basic kitchen utensils are provided. Firewood is not provided. No fireworks, guns or ATVs.

The yurt was very nice and stocked with basically everything anyone would need. The site was very secluded and peaceful. There is a Meijer a mile away which is also very convenient. We will definitely try and stay here again, next time we are passing through the area.

We absolutely loved the property. The private trails were beautiful and all the wildlife was incredible. The yurt had everything we needed and was very cute and cozy. We'd love to come back.

We had an amazing visit! The place was everything we expected and more! The location felt very secluded even though it was right off the highway (which you could hear but wasn't an issue for us) they provided us with a heater that worked wonderfully to keep the place warm! They even had games for us to play.

Very cute and had all the amenities you could think of. Nicest outhouse I've ever been in and the cut trails were lovely. We were warm and comfortable. And the dog had room to roam.Only minor downside is the proximity to the highway. Not too loud, but you could always hear it in the background.

Relaxing

The property is definitely relaxing it offered trail, and a fire pit for outside relaxingIt was also very conveniently located near shops and restaurants.We didnt go to Detroit but would have been a quick trip if we had wanted to visit for the afternoon.

Beautiful location with gorgeous trails to explore. The immediate campsite was well manicured. The Yurt and the outhouse were clean and organized with a plentiful variety of provided amenities. The Yurt itself was gorgeous and very cozy with the provided heater and propane fuel. 10/10 recommended!

This was a pleasant surprise! Great for our little dog to roam & feel comfortable. My ONLY complaint would be that the step going into the yurt was high and it was a pain going in & out. Be prepared for tick prevention, they were everywhere. We continued to pull them off and throw them in the fire. Close to Jackson for supplies or even a quick bite to eat. Be aware you will hear I-94 traffic, but it’s NOT a deal breaker. The out house was very clean. Definitely a place for some R&R.

Charming yurt not far from a grocery store but totally secluded. Beautiful private hiking trails right outside the yurt door. Convenient propane heater, solar powered overhead light, bottled water, propane cooktop and a very comfortable futon. The outhouse was close by and very well kept. As a solo traveler, I felt comfortable due to the heavy duty door and deadbolt lock. I had a question and the owners quickly responded. I loved this place! The local relatives I was visiting thought it would make a great weekend getaway, just for fun, and I agree. Will definitely stay here next time I am in town.

Wonderful whimsical weekend stay. We felt like we'd landed at Hagrids Hut, surrounded by the forbidden forest. 10 out of 10 highly recommend for somw off grid shenanigans. Beautiful marked trails to explore through old wood growth and marshlands with wildlife galore.

Peaceful & Quaint

Super cute Yurt with unique and special little touches throughout. You can really tell they adore this place by the way they take such great care maintaining it. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway, especially if you want to stay somewhere clean, close to town but very private!

Nature Retreat

I was surprised pleasantly to get in easily, enjoy a fire, watch all the narural habitat wildlife visit, and just wonderful! Best outhouse uve ever experienced and every amenity for an off grid stay excelled any expectations. Thank you!

Great stay in Jackson, MI

Delightful, budget-friendly stay in Jackson, Michigan. The property was private, but also conveniently located near town for a quick run to the store. Trails were nice. We also had unique morning visitors - Sandhill cranes! Host was accommodating and quick to respond to questions. Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed the serenity as well as the deer that was consistently outside the yurt. There was plenty of water and the whole "off the grid" was exceptionally soothing and calming. There were a lot of planes flying overhead, and the occasional on noxious motorcycle down the road, but it didn't bother us much as we rested in the peace that only nature can provide. We were very happy with our stay, and yes, the outhouse was exceptional, considering its purpose. We will be back.
