Penny, your review is very appreciated, however absolutely none of the comments made here were brought up during your stay. We thoroughly check for any bugs or roaches after each stay and the only way there would be insects is if food was left out for more than a day, which we don't have controll of. As for sofas, while the ones in the pictures are not there anymore, we placed brand new leather sofas, and saying they are sprung sprung is not very fair. Only if you mentioned they were not comfortable, we would have absolutely no problem to go above and beyond and bring another set of sofas for you during the stay at no cost, just for you. Flooring, I totally understand though, this is a 100-year old historic house, and there are 1 or 2 spots that may appear a bit rough with the hard wood, however, it's freshly refinished 4 months ago and doing it too often will absolutely damage the wood and we won't be able to preserve the historic look. So if historic houses are not your cup of tea, im sorry to say, this will happen at any home of this age. Pillowcases are provided for every room, and we even have extras in the closets, if this was a concern, I'd have been very happy to guide you, but once again there was no communication from you. There are also lots of towels throught the entire home, since this was a back 2 back reservations, cleaners may have missed 1 towel in 1 of 4 bathrooms. It is not fair to say you had to run to the kitchen, because every room has extras that could have been used. I welcome everyone to see our real reviews from guests who have been staying with us in the last 2 years, as this comment does not match the reality. We take pride in our work and feel sorry that Penny did not communicate with us, but rather retaliated here as every single concern would have been addressed immediately.
