“I liked this hotel. It is quirky - an old haveli, rooms are all interesting and the landing areas between them have seating / meeting areas - cool and pleasant spaces. The room towels are a non-original shade of grey. Not dirty at all but not new I suppose. The dining area has a clear view of the lake and above it is more seating again with glorious views. The breakfast is comprehensive - some lovely pancakes - and the service there is excellent. ”

“The Hotel Mahendra Prakash is awesome place to stay in Udaipur at affordable cost. The rooms are spacious and gives you haveli like atmosphere. It is located at a prime area, major tourist spots are at walkable distance. Frintdesk, Housekeeping and restaurant staff is efficient and polite. Swimming pool is clean. Good is nice. Amazing breakfast. The owners and family are welcoming.They have maintained high standards of the property. Must stay at this hotel when in Udaipur. Highly recommended.”

“Fantastic view from a charming hotel, walking distance from all you want to see near the lake: City palace, temple, boat-trip, shopping. Some rooms with a view over the lake. Breakfast in the morning sun on the roof-top was very nice! ”

“The service was not exceptional here. The staff took care of minute details. The rooms were clean and renovated. The only drawback was that there was no power backup here in case of loss if electricity which can happen sometimes otherwise everything was fantastic and the service compensated for that.”

“Location is fabulous right on lake. The entire staff was wonderful. Warm, friendly, helpful. Restaurant was good. We had a balcony over looking the lake. The room was large with many small touches. Huge shower. Windows that opened to lake with built in benches to just enjoy. We could have stayed there all day. We will be back!”
