It was about the same time as this guest stayed that we became aware of the mice. It has been since taken care of. In retrospect, I regret not combing the drawers and cupboards for any signs of them. My bad and lesson learned. No where in our listing does it say "hot tub", only whirlpool tub which is how VRBO defines it in the amenities checklist. As for dirty pots and pans, wouldn't one would think that if a previous guest put them away, then they would have been clean when they did?? I guess I need to pay better attention to that as well. To Whom it May Concern, I freely admit that we are not perfect but also feel as though I must address this review. This is simply not true. Between every rental the floor is vacuumed and mopped, every surface in the kitchen and bathrooms are also cleaned with 409, the toilets scrubbed with cleaner and showers and tub with soft scrub. The sheets and towels are washed, dried, folded then put into plastic bags for transport. My wife handles that, and she also makes the beds. She would sooner lay down on railroad tracks than do what is described here. I can't believe she imagined the issue described in the downstairs bathroom, the only possibility I can come up with is an issue with the plumbing, which we have had in the past although not for quite some time. I do confess to leaving half a dozen or so damp towels in the dryer after we left. Forgot to pack them up and bring them home. Again, we are not perfect. When someone brings an issue to our attention they are typically correct and we do take it into account. Sincerely, Rick

Thank you for the nice review. Couldn't agree more on the kitchen stuff. We just replaced all of the cookware with some high quality stuff.

Upon inspection, the woodstove was deamed unsafe. Getting an new one delivered and installed was a challenge and took much longer than I had hoped. We did provide partial refunds to everyone this process inconvienced. Anyway, there is now a brand new woodstove! :)
