âMy wife and I stayed at the National Hotel for our 26th anniversary and had a wonderful time. You feel like you've traveled back in history with interesting decor and antiques everywhere but with all the modern conveniences we're all so used to. We'd been waiting for the bar and restaurant to reopen after a remodel and were not disappointed. The atmosphere, food, and drinks were spectacular.
By far the best part of our stay was the staff. From check-in to departure, everyone was extremely nice...

âWe loved our stay at The Hanford House. The rooms are very nice, clean and beautiful. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. The added morning delivery of fresh baked scones to your door with fresh coffee is such a well thought out addition. We will definitely stay here everytime we visit our family in Sutter Creek!â

No full length mirrors in room, nor hangars for clothing. Because part of the building is from the 1800's, the renovations have "piped in air-con" with was through a vent in the window, but it did work.â
âThe staff was friendly and helpful and considering the age of the property, it was very clean. The rooms were huge and they all had a pretty view of the field behind the property. This property was conveniently located near a wedding venue we were headed to. It was not fancy but it was very clean. â
