Mixed quality in staff
Great spatious room. Lovely guy at check-in. Expensive breakfast. Good a la carte dinner and wine list. Weird that staff at a five stat hotel had no info about high street fashion and recommended malls with no designer brands. Inpolite staff that arranged transports.

We stayed here for one night and we had no hot water, no light in the internal bathroom and only one lamp in the main bedroom. It was blamed on loadshedding, but every other business in South Africa seems to be able to work round it with their generators

Fine stay (4 nights). Good location. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Very good coffee (great barista). Rooms a bit run-down. And limited service at the pool area (strange that you have to go down a floor to get service) Internet unstable and not able to have online Zoom or Teams meetings.

I am not sure if it was communicated to you, but our air conditioning system is on 'winter' mode at the moment and when the window or balcony doors in the rooms are opened, the air conditioning system automatically shuts off. I booked the Sheraton because I am familiar with the brand and had an expectation of the level of service and the standard of the property. Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectation. Check in time was stated as being from 3pm. I arrived at 5pm and my room was not ready. I was also surprised to be asked to pay for parking. I was not allowed to bill items in the restaurant or room service to my room which was a pain. The decor is very dated. Overall, it is hard to see how this establishment can be classed as 5 star. At best, I would say it is 3 star. I would not stay at this property again.

Everything about the property was excellent. The friendly welcome at check-in. The member of staff who took my bags to my room was friendly and polite. In fact every member of staff I came into contact with during my 3 day stay were very professional and polite. The room was very clean and well equipped, beautiful comfortable bed lovely bathroom with nice soft towels. In fact I couldn't fault it at all. A special mention must be made for the restaurant. I had breakfast and dinner on my 3 mornings and evenings and the all you can eat buffet was amazing. Lots and lots of choices, all cooked to perfection and and beautifully presented. I absolutely adore it. Lovely pool and patio area outside. Used the pool and the sauna and both superb. Next time I am in South Africa I will definitely be back. Highly recommend this hotel and great value for money as well.

My stay was great, room beautiful and clean. Bed and pillows amazingly comfy. I would have liked some hot chocolate in the room or a room service menu that specifies their service times. A Spa menu in the room would have been nice

The phone in my room did not work. They came to fix it but then it went out of order again. Air conditioning at first did not work Someone came to fix it so it was ok. Nice service and the room was fine overall.
