I normally stay at Jolly Beach Resort when I come but decided to try Jolly Castle. The room was spacious and perfect for my stay.

The room was exceptionally clean. Rest of the property appeared old and run down. No concierge greeted me. I got let in by a cleaning guy who did not speak. Upon checking out same thing. There was no one to take my key, It was via phone call from the person renting a hair salon. I was told to leave the key on the counter. That place was definitely not worth what Expedia charged me for it!

To be honest with you, this day was pretty cool. The bed was comfortable but the shower the shower just kept flooding the floor as much as you keep the shower curtain inside you keep the showerhead down. It’s still popping out on the floor and the floor ends up soaking wet so I was basically like my only issue was the shower. The shower was amazing but it’s just kept flooding the floor so everything else was pretty cool. I’ll give you guys a thank you for the day bye-bye

The management and staff were so friendly and organized my flight was a little late and they contacted me by WhatsApp I felt so relieved and treated so well I can't say enough good things about the people and the facility I look forward to my next visit and I know exactly where I'm going to stay

The hotel was affordable and right next to the beach. Also there's a convenience store, restaurant and bar right next door. If you want variety, no worries, there's another convenience store, more bars and more restaurants within a couple minutes walk. St. John's and the airport are approx. 20 minutes away. Overall it's a nice place.

Apartment is decently well stocked and the staff responded well to What's App requests. They clean your room about every two days. There are strong frog and insect sounds outside the lower rooms at night, and sometimes loud music across the street, but it ends by 11pm. The area is being renovated so the restaurant options are limited. There is a grocery close but it is EXPENSIVE. There is construction going on so trucks are driving past. The A/C works well. The oven and stove are LP gas

I like that the room had a kitchen with an oven so we could cook pizza being there only one night. There’s a couple bars across the street at Jolly Harbour so you’ll hear music till about 10 PM but I’m not sure if it’s every night. Property very rundown, picture show there’s nice lounge chases on the patio for review which there are not. The room was large and comfortable. Steps to the room missing stone, so need to be careful Staff not always on property. Office was closed if you needed anything. Front desk staff didn’t tell us anything about the area. Very unhelpful would not stay here again.

In general it was good except the toilet. The shower was worst I found in good quality hotels globally. Even informed, it was not fixed. Very poor maintenance service.

We arrived at the property and it didn't look like the on line photos at all. We didn't even check in. It was run down and very disappointing. We just gave up our pre-paid night and checked into another hotel instead.

Disappointing.

Room was near the road, therefore had to endure hearing the music all night. Air conditioner was leaking, had water on the floor for my entire stay. Had to put up with towels being put on the floor for my entire stay. Would not recommend for anyone to stay.

best option for the budget conscious traveler

Utilitarian and quirky, the hotel is fine for sleeping for the most part, attached bar was a brief disruption. Great location, good local fare in the restaurant. Close to a very well stocked grocery store and a phenomenal Italian restaurant. Probably the best option for the budget conscious traveler.

Close to beach and Miracles Restaurant

Only stayed a few nights but found the room to be satisfactory. Owner and staff helpful. Convenient to beautiful beach.

Hotel under renovation

The hotel is under renovation and empty. It was about 5:00 pm when I arrived and went to check in but the place looked abandoned. Luckily there was wifi at an adjacent bar and was able to contact the manager. The manager was super nice and helpful through out my stay as the airlines had also lost my luggage. The room did not have wifi as advertised which is a real bummer.
